Susan Rice requested to unmask names of Trump transition officials, sources say

Multiple sources tell Fox News that Susan Rice, former national security adviser under then-President Barack Obama, requested to unmask the names of Trump transition officials caught up in surveillance.

The unmasked names, of people associated with Donald Trump, were then sent to all those at the National Security Council, some at the Defense Department, then-Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and then-CIA Director John Brennan – essentially, the officials at the top, including former Rice deputy Ben Rhodes.

*snip*

Nunes has faced criticism from Democrats for viewing pertinent documents on White House grounds and announcing their contents to the press. But sources said “the intelligence agencies slow-rolled Nunes. He could have seen the logs at other places besides the White House SCIF [secure facility], but it had already been a few weeks. So he went to the White House because he could protect his sources and he could get to the logs.”

“The fact that former Obama hacks names are starting to drop associated with this is hopefully a good sign of traction.”

As you noted, “(Cautiously)!

You mis-understand my statement. The Dems knew this scandal would eventually come out. The only way to protect themselves was to make up a story about Russian collusion. Russian collusion is the excuse they will use to justify their illegal unmasking. It is a sorry excuse but all they have. Will a jury buy it during Rice’s upcoming espionage trial?

What is wrong with Republicans???

It’s very simple: They are politicians. Definition: liars, cheats, self-loving, crooked as a dog’s hind leg, money hungry, power crazy and narcissistic.

It all starts in high school at the “Young Democrats associations” and in Civics class...the one that shows how rich one can get simply by flapping their mouth and promising anything a voter wants...as long as the vote for him/her/it.

I’ve never known a politician on any level that did not have so shady deals working under the table. There are NO EXCEPTIONS.

So cutting through all the joking, posturing, and crap, what do some of our FREEP legal eagles think the next step will be with this? Any thoughts on what Sessions can/will do?

Rice didn’t act alone. She was following orders.

Valerie Jarrett or Ben Rhodes. Even though Ben worked for her she probably was heavily manipulated by him. Rice is not an independent smart thinker while Rhodes, like VarJar, is fundamentally dishonest, evil, manipulative, and vindictive.

Nothing significant will happen unless someone steps forward with proof that Rice shared the information with someone not entitled to receive it.

What do you think are the chances of that?

We wont know without a special prosecutor. Non of this stuff can ever be seen except by a judge in camera. Then he and only he can allow the presentation of that item to a jury in trial of the many felonies here. There is no Special Prosecutor statute now. One must be passed this week or prosecution falls to Sessions who seems to be napping.

Congress gave up its ability to appoint independent counsel, but an independent counsel can be appointed by the Attorney General. Not playing to the crowd is not at all the same as napping.

Where are all those folks who didn’t think the MSM wouldn’t cover this?

Possibly.

The soon to be DAG Rod Rosenstein will carry the load on the Russia crap and possibly this too. That’s why Dems are stalling him as best they can.

I mentioned 2 weeks or so ago they would not be able to keep a lid on this. And said I believed they likely already narrowed it down the number of these saboteurs and spies to less than half dozen.

If this goes beyond Rice and I’m confident it does, she will likely be the one to tell us, intentionally or not, as to who the other co-conspirators are.

If this scandal is brought front and center it will destroy the two parties. So what are waiting for?

Exactly. Both parties are perfectly happy to let this whole thing remain in the realm of "unproven conspiracy theories".

What is wrong with Republicans? For decades now they’ve all been riding in the same limo as the Democrats.

“And just days before leaving office Barack Obama issues an EO enabling the sharing of that information across all federal agencies of law enforcement.”

Yeah, but not the MSM.

From the article: Nunes has faced criticism from Democrats for viewing pertinent documents on White House grounds and announcing their contents to the press. Is Faux news, Adam Housl, trying to blame Nunes for the crimes committed by Susan Rice?

How do you come up with that question? Did you read the article?
