Trump admin stops disclosing troop deployment information
Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, a top conservative critic of House Republicans failed plan to replace ObamaCare, concluded his golf outing Sunday with President Trump by saying party members are getting closer on a compromise repeal plan and that he remains very optimistic.
The presidents invitation for Paul to play at Trump National Golf Club in northern Virginia is a sign that he is trying again to negotiate with congressional conservatives who failed to back the originial ObamaCare overhaul plan, after weeks of attacking them.
We had a great day with the president, Paul said after playing with Trump and White House Office of Management and Budget Director Mick Mulvaney. We did talk about some health care reform. I think the sides are getting closer and closer together. And I remain very optimistic that we will get an ObamaCare repeal.
Paul, a licensed opthamologist and Tea Party favorite, has his own ObamaCare replacement plan, which he argues goes further than the Republican House leadership plan to fully repeal and replace the 2010 health care law, under which consumers are facing rising costs and fewer policy options.
White House official Stephanie Grisham said earlier Sunday that the threesome would discussing several issues at the club but that health care would be a big topic.

Cold day for golf.
These republican slugs better repeal this or all conservatives should never vote for any of them again.
‘Cold day for golf.’
I am in Northern Va and it is mid-60s. Seems very nice.
There better be just repeal and not “replacement” Obamacare 3.0. Enough polishing the turd. Time for a clean repeal, which allows for free market solutions.
A lot of business gets done on the golf course. Unless your Obama and only play with the same cronies every time.
Sounds like the president is workin it.
The only way to MAGA on Health Care is to repeal HusseinDontCare and go to an open market/ free enterprise “Wild West”.
Not for Trump. Maybe for Obama who would have probably repaired to the men’s locker room with his golf buds and participated in some anal sex.
So if a new repeal and replace bill written by conservatives, or written to please conservatives, or just a repeal bill is done, will it pass in the House and Senate? Wouldn’t it be quite the fiasco if it gets shot down again?
Very encouraging news to see the President consulting with conservatives this time around.
I believe he’s down Laro Marco, FL
President Trump on the other hand plays golf with important people to get business done.
Article said they were playing in Northern Virginia.
It'll be more along the lines of the 2015 Obamcare repeal bill, which repealed six or seven of Obamacare mandates but left the pre-existing conditions and "children" to age 26 intact.
Conservatives need to support this compromise. It will be much better than the Ryan bill and it will be able to pass both houses of Congress, and will alleviate the damage that Obamacare is doing now.
Exactly. BHO played 333 rounds. Basically a full year of golfing at our expense.
Libs on twitter are screaming about Trump playing too much golf and lounging around Mar a Lago.
Liberals have no sense of irony.
It sure is.
I have always felt that Obamacare would never be repealed, but changed piece by piece until it was unrecognizable. Like customizing a car until every piece has been changed so much that nothing original remains.
I hope Rand Paul didn't mince words. There's no way Trump would be president, and there is no way he can govern, without the voters who support Freedom Caucus values. Trump has to dump Ryan and listen to the people who filled his rallies, those of us who got him elected.
Oh that is right. He has invited the Chinese president to Laro Marco next weekend.
