...and a razor in his shoe.
What is the cost of the illegal aliens giving birth out of wedlock that they don’t pay for? What is the cost of the emergency room medical care that they use, exclusively? What is the cost of the killed and injured by drunk, illegal aliens driving without driver’ training or no license at all?
For you, maybe.
But Bloomers hates guns and I hate politicians. But I also like knives.
Strip out Baltimore and the thugs that shoot each other daily, and you'd have a much different result.
Notice they just lump "States" together, so Georgia shows up as having a lot of "gun violence".
Well, there is Atlanta, which I also know skews the statistics.
He was Bad,BAD ZERO Brown, the baddest Muslim in DC town
[[Costs for initial inpatient hospitalization were about $730 million annually,]]
I guess we better do something about gang members and criminals with guns then huh? Here’s an idea- ARM everyone- Allow people to defend themselves WITHOUT fear of being wrongly convicted for doing so! And protect victims instead of always protecting hte criminals-
As a Southerner I’m insulted that Maryland and Washington were included as part of the South. Perhaps this was done to throw in Baltimore and D.C., positively impacting the northern region and negatively impacting the South.
Some Northern cities have more gunshot violence per capita than any of those states.
And the most urbanized/suburbanized Southern states have rates of gunshot violence roughly comparable to their Northern counterparts.
I wouldn't overreact to this, though.
It's just one woman's opinion, and opinions are a dime a dozen (or cheaper).
They left out the costs of not having a gun culture: Ctrl-Left thugs in government ordering us around and taking our money, Ctrl-Left thugs on the streets ordering us around and taking our wallets, and Ctrl-Left thugs invading our homes to take anything they want. No, thank you. I’ll keep guns in the hands of the law-abiding, since criminals will have guns no matter what the laws say.
“The Cost of the Southern Gun Culture cannot be truly calculated by anyone outside of “the culture”, due to their in-bred paradigm of ‘the ownership of ammunition and/or firearms are no longer needed in government-intervention-allowed-cities’.”
The cost of no terror attacks in Georgia. Priceless! :-)
What is the cost of an out-of-control governmental tyranny over a continent-sized nation?
I can tell you of an example from roughly 100 years ago, former czarist Russia turned Communist dictatorship. Several generations worth of hard work, savings and investment were seized by the Communists, leaving my great-grandparents and their younger children with only the home in which they lived. My great-grandfather, himself, was beaten so badly in a Communist prison in the mid-1930s at age 74, that he died of his injuries. My grandfather was forced to leave the country at the very end of the revolution, on pain of being shot. He never saw his parents again, and those of his siblings that he saw, he didn’t see until 46 years later. This very tough man cried like a baby when speaking of what those bastards did to his family. Worst of all, what my family went through was insignificant compared to many others, who were either wiped out all together, or who lost much more in financial and personal terms than even my family did.
Screw Michael Bloomberg, and screw all of the anti-gunners out there. I am never going to release my guns to anyone until they pry them from my cold dead hands, and they had better be careful not to trip on a roll of the spent brass surrounding my body. They should also bring plenty of body bags for their fellow goons.
*rolls eyes*
Re: It’s difficult to do a comprehensive cost-benefit analysis of American gun culture.
In other words, we have no facts and are FOS.
So death by gun being cheaper means the gangs need more range time. Could we get a guberment grant for this problem?
That and the gang culture.
The killings happen in Democrat Chicago but they say Southern gun culture...
Really!?
Same way they blame the civil war on the South when it was Democrats all along...
Yes, suicide is the reason for reducing magazine capacity and going after AR15?
No one uses a 30 round AR to do that. The whole article is talking about two different subjects and sliding the fault on assault rifles, precisely because anti gunners could care less about suicide by drugs or being gay or abortion, but simply worry about governent ability to steal.
