An investigation by The New York Times has found a total of five women who have received payouts from either Mr. O’Reilly or the company in exchange for agreeing to not pursue litigation or speak about their accusations against him. The agreements totaled about $13 million.
Two settlements came after the network’s former chairman, Roger Ailes, was dismissed last summer in the wake of a sexual harassment scandal, when the company said it did not tolerate behavior that “disrespects women or contributes to an uncomfortable work environment.”

This reminds me of the women who accused Trump. Gee, that was for real wasn’t it. Right after the election they completely disappear, Gloria Alred disappears, no talk of settlement money, no court case nothing. Why? BECAUSE THEY WERE ALL LYING!!! That’s how the Clinton criminal cabal works though.
I’ve seen Ms. Tantaros at least twice recently on Fox. I think it was on a weekend and later in the evening. It appeared she either had put on weight or might be pregnant.

The stuff against Thomas was so airy as to be non-existent. Ailes was a little bit more substantial - the Fox women wear silly outfits that I think are required for hire. They’re seated on weird chairs that show off their legs and thighs in such a way that make it hard for even a woman to keep her mind on the news. It’s stupid and I don’t wonder an employee could start to feel like a piece of meat. Of course, they knew that going in.
There is sex harassment on the job. It happens to young, attractive women more often than men allow and it should be monitored. I just wish we could get back to a time when it really required bad behavior - and not some stupid joke or well-meant compliment - to get an employer in trouble.
The ludicrous Thomas Jefferson/BJ story embarrassed the New York Times and the Democrat party for life. It’ll take an objective historian long after we’re pushing up daisies to explain that sad story. I still giggle at a local lawyer here - Sean Wilentz, I think - who embarrassedly intoned during the impeachment hearings that those who challenged BJ would be cruelly hunted down by historians of the future. Hilariously, he was lecturing Mary Bono, of all people, the way Daniel Webster lectured the Devil.

O’Reilly has been one of the highest paid ‘news’ guys for 30 years and brought in hundreds of millions of dollars to his employers. Taking $13 million off his cumulative bottom line isn’t really a big deal.
