At first glance it looked like the persons name was Irving Mayor Beth Van Duyne. When I got to the bottom I realized she was the Mayor of Irving, Texas.
Have you seen Irving lately?
Ever since Irving lost the Dallas Cowboy stadium it’s been nothing but down hill.
I am not sure if this former Irving mayor is responsible for today’s Irving.
A lot of refugees live there.
She appears to be a fiscal conservative. As per ballotpedia, Irving has a non partisan council-manager system with an elected mayor. She has served six years having been elected in 2011 and 2014. Her campaign website yours that she strives for “Open, honest, conservative management”.
“I am a limited-government conservative who fundamentally believes we need the least amount of government possible so families and small businesses can keep more of what they earn in order to make their own decisions on how best to spend their resources. “
She also touts that she has stopped the property tax increases.
What blew my mind in reading the ballotpedia is that 7,100 people voted in a May election in a city of 228,000 people. That is 3.2% of the population.
Wow..only 3.2% voted, thanks for all that info!
