In an extraordinary speech the EU Commission president said he would push for Ohio and Texas to split from the rest of America if the Republican president does not change his tune and become more supportive of the EU.
The remarks are diplomatic dynamite at a time when relations between Washington and Brussels are already strained over Europe’s meagre contributions to NATO and the US leader’s open preference for dealing with national governments.

The man showed his geopolitical ignorance, particularly regarding the legal governance structure of the United States versus the EU. They are entirely different in origin, in means and methods of becoming what they are, as well as many other things about them. The EU was slammed together by executive fiat, and unlike the Brexit vote most EU states have avoided bringing a referendum on the EU to a vote.

Although it would be entertaining to see CA weenies try to staff their own military. They’d have to conscript them.
His original statement was not Texas but Austin Texas which most Texans see as doable. We could move the capitol to Gunbarrel Texas or Cut and Shoot Texas.
