I vividly remember a very early favorite Sci Fi series I loved called “V.” In it was a rebel character portrayed by the actor Michael Ironside that always called bleeding hearts “Gooders.” I took it to mean do-gooders, and I came to realize he was right. Nothing they did ever worked and nearly always backfired. Hard to find any sympathy here.
