-- He already has more money than he will ever need. At this point it would just be about keeping score ... --

He's in a new game, and he wants to "win" this one too.

The more I think about it, and I'll stop thinking about it soon (having made up my mind), Ivanka dropping the "run Trump Properties" gig in favor of an unpaid WH gig bothers me. She's getting something out of this, and as the saying goes, "it's all about control." I don't like her having an office in the WH, not one bit. If my old man had a well run company, and I was "into it" as a manager, and my old man landed a political job, I'd stick with the paying job, if I was good enough at it and enjoyed it. I don't think Ivanka's motives are as pure as she thinks they are; and whatever impression I had about "Trump's good judgment" just took a big hit.

Trash talking the HFC in favor of the "Republican Agenda" (whatever the hell that is, we don't know until it's revealed) makes me view Trump as a typical Republican. And I don't like typical Republicans.

I agree...Ivanka's insertion into the inner presidential advisor group was a terrible idea. Imagine that during the regular meetings of these people closest to the boss how reluctant to speak they will become because they fear she'll tell her dad all that's going on and who said what.

Not only are the PR optics bad on the Ivanka appointment in the realms of nepotism, inexperience, ethics, legalism, but the inner workings of the president's top advisory group is going to be severely affected. No one can convince me differently.

Let me get this straight....RYAN screws the pooch by (a) secretly "making" a new bill with NO House members input (instead of starting with one that has already been unanimously passed) (b) putting a false deadline on it so it was doomed to fail (c) refusing to work with his fellow House reps to fix the bill which meant Trump had to do Ryan's job........

And Trump wants to DESTROY the House Freedom Caucus?

I agree with Justin Amash....didn't take Trump long to climb into the swamp with the RINOS since this is a tactic they've used for years to destroy people like the Tea Party members/Freedom Caucus, etc when they've refused to screw over their constituents in the name of the good of the party.

BTW, President Trump, you DO understand there's a push to use Russia, Russia, Russia to have you impeached?

Who would get your job if they could prove you and Pence were conspiring with Russia?

Yep, good luck with climbing in bed with Ryan, Rinos and the Democrats, in order to make your deal. Hope you haven't unpacked your suitcases yet.............

” ...makes me view Trump as a typical Republican. “

Basically, Trump is a Democrat from a couple decades back - when they / unions favored tight borders, strong military, infrastructure programs and big govt entitlements.

Trump, great as he is on some issues, is cleanly to the Left of even the typical Republican when it comes to big govt dependency-producing entitlements.

We knew this in the primary race. We knew he would be no help addressing the nation’s greatest problem which is the giant dependency producing and debt exploding entitlements.

But we did not expect Trump to buddy up to the establishment so quickly to create brand new federal entitlements - entitlements created by Republicans is not winning, not from Freedom’s perspective.

It seems illogical and unusually immature to declare war against Freedom’s most reliable factions just because his reputation earned a well-deserved boo-boo over the TrumpCare debacle.
