The origin of the Obama administrations investigation of imaginary Trump-Russia collusion remains murky, but this much is clear: John Brennan, Obamas Trump-hating CIA director, stands at the center of it.
Brennan pushed for a multi-agency investigation of the Trump campaign, using as his pretext alleged intelligence from an unnamed Baltic state. That intelligence was supplied at the very moment Baltic officials had their own political motivation to smear Trump.
Last April, the CIA director was shown intelligence that worried him. It was allegedly a tape recording of a conversation about money from the Kremlin going into the US presidential campaign. It was passed to the US by an intelligence agency of one of the Baltic States, reported the BBCs Paul Wood.
Is it just a coincidence that Brennan got this tape recording from a Baltic State intelligence agency in April when officials in the Baltic States were up in arms over candidate Trump? Recall that in March of 2016 the month before Brennan allegedly got the recording from Baltic spies Trump made remarks about NATO that the press was hyping as hostile to the Baltic States.
To CNN, on March 21, Trump said, referring to the need to re-think Americas relationship with NATO:
Were paying disproportionately. Its too much. And frankly its a different world than it was when we originally conceived of the idea. And everybody got together.
But were taking care of, as an example, the Ukraine. I mean, the countries over there dont seem to be so interested. Were the ones taking the brunt of it. So I think we have to reconsider keep NATO, but maybe we have to pay a lot less toward the NATO itself. Hillary and her allies in the media seized on these remarks and ripped Trump on the false claim that, if elected, he would pull out of NATO, leaving Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia to fend for themselves against Russia.
Such fearmongering set off an anti-Trump panic in political circles within the Baltic States. Out of it came a steady stream of stories with headlines such as: Baltic States Fearful of Trumps Nato Views and Estonian Prez Appears to Push Back on Trumps NATO Comments.
The president to which that latter headline referred was Toomas Hendrik Ilves, a former journalist at Radio Free Europe who grew up in New Jersey (his parents were refugees from Estonia) and whose brother, Andres Ilves, works for the BBC. Toomas served as president of Estonia from 2006 until October of 2016.
He had a good relationship with the Obama administration, as he told BuzzFeed. Both Ilves and Obama are alumni of Columbia University. Ilves made it clear to reporters that he didnt care for the rhetoric of Trump and spoke disparagingly of Trumps knowledge of foreign policy. Taking a shot at Trump campaign surrogate Newt Gingrich (who questioned whether the United States should go to nuclear war over a suburb of Russia), Ilves said, Were not a suburb of St. Petersburg. Ilves spoke of his warm relations with Joe Biden (who on a showboating visit to the Baltic States in 2016 said that they should disregard Trump and reminded them that Obama promised to protect the Baltic States as if they were American soil).
After he left office in 2016, Ilves, who has an active Twitter presence, tweeted out John Brennans criticism of Trump. Ilves is now at Stanford as a visiting fellow in a program under the direction of Michael McFaul, who served as a Russian expert for the Obama administration.
Again, BBCs Paul Wood said that Brennan obtained the recording that set off the Trump investigation from the intelligence agency of one of the Baltic States. Was it Estonias intelligence agency? If not Estonias, which intelligence agency gave it to Brennan? And who exactly, besides John Brennan in the Obama administration, assessed the value of that recording? Did the investigation start on Brennans say-so?
Is there anybody here willing to see your kids or grandkids go to war to protect Latvia from Russian aggression? I'm not.
Obama criminal regime bump for later....
How long before Brennan starts wearing a turban?
How long before Brennan starts wearing an orange jumpsuit?
I keep hearing that Russia somehow attacked our election but nobody ever explains exactly what they did. I hope the Baltic states are good with living with the consequences of their actions if this turns out to be true. I think we should probably rethink the whole NATO thing. The way that most of western Europe is acting as an accomplice in allowing itself to be invaded and taken over tells me they are not very serious about defending Europe. Why should we be?
“but nobody ever explains exactly what they did.”
They exposed all of the cheating and criminal activities that DNC and Hillary campaign was doing. Apparently, that is how the Russians supposedly interfered.
That's my hope and prayer.
It would appear that we are spending money defending people who are basically despicable.
We also need to look into McCain and that whole Montenegro thing.
I couldn't agree more. At the very least the framework of the treaty needs to be reworked and membership should be closely looked into.
Kudos to Rand Paul for standing up to that little tinpot. He's obsessed with Russia and I truly believe he'd like nothing more than a hot war. We need to be paring down membership in NATO not including insignificant little city-states that contribute absolutely nothing to the strategic balance in Europe.
McCain is trying to provoke Putin for some reason. I wonder what Vlad knows. Didn't the Soviet GRU or KGB record all NV POW interrogations?
I’m worried about deep the Deep State may be. For example, what if Trump as Potus asks for information or a briefing on something an intelligence agency would rather keep secret, and the bureaucrats either lie or don’t fully comply?
They clearly defy Congress all the time, and there is evidence that they ignore the law at times too. If they defy the President’s direct orders as well, where can you go to get the truth? Or do they win?
Hillary and her allies in the media seized on these remarks and ripped Trump on the false claim........
Misstep by hitlery - now trump is asking why congress is not investigating clinton foundation and russian uranium deal
I’m highly suspicious of that as well.
Look it SOP...the want to get Trump. So they Cobble together enough innuendos to justify an investigation and then go to town
That was not hard to figure out! But WHEN are some of these criminals going to be held accountable??? We the people, are tired of the maybes.. the IFS.. and overlooking the corruption because they are “important people”. ? Come on.. they are not any more important than us voters, who put the leaders in charge to represent us... when they fail, they are no better than JoBlo... it’s past time for retribution!
The problem is that we do not know that. The DNC did not allow the FBI to examine their servers. I believe a Google owned company called Crowd Strike is the entity that examined the servers and said it was the Russians. Google was all in for the PIAPS so I do not believe them. I strongly suspect that the DNC was not hacked by anyone. Julian Assange said it was not the Russians that gave him the information and I do believe him. I think when Assange offered a reward to solve the Seth Rich murder, he gave away his source.
WHAT WORRIES ME IS brennan SIGING THE 9-11 HIJACKERS VISAS
and
his spying on congress and lying about it under oath
his willingness to break the law for personal gain and promotion
his muslim conversion
his gay lanyard and diversity push while not gathering any useful intel on iran and n. korea
BRENNAN HAS COMMITTED HIGH CRIMES
an analyst who never did and op in his entire career.... but was great at sucking ass
me too
THIS is the kind of reporting “journalists” USED to do, before they became puppets of the DNC. Now they are just what they accuse InfoWars of being...conspiracy theorists.
