Flashback - Cash Flowed to Clinton Foundation Amid Russian Uranium Deal
New York Timws ^ | APRIL 23, 2015 | JO BECKER and MIKE McINTIRE

To avoid the perception of conflicts of interest, beyond the ban on foreign government donations, the foundation was required to publicly disclose all contributors. ---

His donations through the Fernwood Foundation included $1 million reported in 2009, the year his company appealed to the American Embassy to help it keep its mines in Kazakhstan; $250,000 in 2010, the year the Russians sought majority control; as well as $600,000 in 2011 and $500,000 in 2012. Mr. Telfer said that his donations had nothing to do with his business dealings, and that he had never discussed Uranium One with Mr. or Mrs. Clinton. He said he had given the money because he wanted to support Mr. Giustra’s charitable endeavors with Mr. Clinton. “Frank and I have been friends and business partners for almost 20 years,” he said.

The Clinton campaign left it to the foundation to reply to questions about the Fernwood donations; the foundation did not provide a response.

Mr. Telfer’s undisclosed donations came in addition to between $1.3 million and $5.6 million in contributions, which were reported, from a constellation of people with ties to Uranium One or UrAsia, the company that originally acquired Uranium One’s most valuable asset: the Kazakh mines. Without those assets, the Russians would have had no interest in the deal: “It wasn’t the goal to buy the Wyoming mines. The goal was to acquire the Kazakh assets, which are very good,” Mr. Novikov, the Rosatom spokesman, said in an interview.

Amid this influx of Uranium One-connected money, Mr. Clinton was invited to speak in Moscow in June 2010, the same month Rosatom struck its deal for a majority stake in Uranium One.

The $500,000 fee — among Mr. Clinton’s highest — was paid by Renaissance Capital, a Russian investment bank with ties to the Kremlin...

The Clintons attained vast personal wealth by selling U.S. foreign and domestic policy to the highest bidder.

Why is the Trump Administration a.) not investigating this or at the very least b.) telling his opponents to back off with the Russian stuff unless they want to see the Clintons under a microscope as well?

To be a democrat, you have to believe the Russians hacked Podesta and Hillary to expose all of this Clinton- Putin corruption because they wanted Trump to win

"To be a democrat, . . ."

To be a North American Socialist Democrat Party (democrat fascist party) member is to know that ever since the end of the second Clinton term you are protected from the consequences of your own crimes, covering up the crimes of others, your own incompetence, and are free to indulge in whatever perversion strikes your fancy.

At that point in time we arrived at exactly the same political state of affairs as the one existent in every failed Socialist State in history.

That political reality permeating government is as much of a flaw in all Socialist systems as the fantasy economics it preaches which is, in reality, nothing more than psychological opium for the increasing numbers of economic outcasts not seduced into using alcohol or drugs as thieir opiate.

Hopefully, we as a nation can get the democrat leech off of our jugular without going through the sort of total collapse the Soviet Union went through although I'm sure the NASDP would prefer such a collapse to solutions that avoid it.

My take on the Clinton’s is that any of the three of them would sell out the other two if it meant dirty money coming to them. Evil, highly corrupted, nasty people, all three of them. I cannot wait until they are no longer ever mentioned again.

Is this the money-laundering apparat?

THE NYT REPORTED: The Clinton campaign left it to Telfer's foundation to reply to questions about the Fernwood Foundation donations to the Clinton Foundation....... Telfers Fernwood Foundation did not provide a response.

Mr. Telfer’s undisclosed donations to the Clinton Foundation came in addition to between $1.3 million and $5.6 million in contributions, which were reported.

The contribution money came from a constellation of people with ties to Uranium One or UrAsia, the company that originally acquired Uranium One’s most valuable asset: the Kazakh mines. Without those assets, the Russians would have had no interest in the deal: “It wasn’t the goal to buy the Wyoming mines. The goal was to acquire the Kazakh assets, which are very good,” Mr. Novikov, the Rosatom spokesman, said in an interview.

=====================================================

The IRS confrms the biggest tax evasion, money laundering scheme it encounters is one foundation writing a chck to another foundation.....the MO to skim off money for themselves or for "other purposes."

(A) The donor foundation writes a check.....(B) the receiver foundation takes a cut then (C) deposits the remainder in an offshore bank, maybe a hedge fund, for the donor's use later....... without scrutiny.

NYT REPORTS: The Clinton Foundation contributions came from a constellation of people with ties to Uranium One or UrAsia, the company that originally acquired Uranium One’s most valuable asset: the Kazakh mines. Without those assets, the Russians would have had no interest in the deal: “It wasn’t the goal to buy the Wyoming mines. The goal was to acquire the Kazakh assets, which are very good,” Mr. Novikov, the Rosatom spokesman, said in an interview.

=============================================

This gambit by Bill Clinton (meddling in a foreign election) got the Russian uranium scheme going. Bill's calculated handshake was a bonanza for the Kazahk president's re-election. Nazarbayev responded in kind and signed-off on the initial phase of Russia's takeover of US uranium assets.

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev greets former
president Clinton (L) in Almaty on September 6, 2005.

CIRCA 2015 A Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times reporter claims that former President Bill Clinton falsely denied hosting a meeting with Kazakh officials when she tried to write a story that involved his foundation several years ago.

Jo Becker, who works on the newspaper's investigative desk, said Clinton only confirmed the meeting took place after she informed him there were photographs.

Clinton's role in a deal that involved Kazakhstan, the Russian government, and a man who donated millions to the president's charitable foundation were detailed in a story Becker published on Thursday.

That article revisited some of her earlier reporting and included information from the upcoming book "Clinton Cash," which is generating widespread headlines amid a flurry of reports suggesting it will raise serious questions about Clinton's family foundation.

The donor in question is Canadian mining executive Frank Giustra, a longtime friend of the former president who has given tens of millions to the Clinton Foundation in the past few years. (A couple of hours after the NYT story was published, Giustra issued a defiant statement. We've included that below.)

Becker initially wrote about the February 2007 meeting between Clinton, Giustra, and executives from the state-owned nuclear company Kazatomprom in 2008. The gathering took place at Clinton's home in Chappaqua, New York.

"When I first contacted both the Clinton foundation — Mr. Clinton's spokesman — and Mr. Giustra, they denied any such meeting ever took place," Becker recalled in footage aired by Fox News on Thursday.

However, Becker said Clinton and Giustra both changed their stories after she confronted them with evidence to the contrary.

"And then when we told them, 'Well we already talked to the head of Kazatomprom, who not only told us all about the meeting, but actually has a picture of him and Bill at the home in Chappaqua, and that he proudly displayed on his office wall.' They then acknowledged that yes, the meeting had taken place," Becker continued in the television interview.

The purpose of the meeting, then Kazatomprom President Moukhtar Dzhakishev told The Times, was to discuss Kazakhstan potentially buying a 10% stake in Westinghouse, a US nuclear company. Becker's 2008 story also noted one of Giustra's companies secured a deal to buy uranium deposits from Kazatomprom in 2005.

That agreement was made after Clinton accompanied Giustra on a trip to Kazakhstan. During the trip, Giustra and Clinton met with Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev.

Clinton issued a public statement praising the Kazakh leader despite his questionable, antidemocratic record. The Times called the praise a "propaganda coup" for Nazarbayev. (he later "won relection" w/ an unbelievable 90% of the vote)

"Just months after the Kazakh pact was finalized, Mr. Clinton's charitable foundation received its own windfall: a $31.3 million donation from Mr. Giustra that had remained a secret until he acknowledged it last month. The gift, combined with Mr. Giustra’s more recent and public pledge to give the William J. Clinton Foundation an additional $100 million, secured Mr. Giustra a place in Mr. Clinton’s inner circle," wrote Becker and another reporter, Don Van Natta.

A spokesperson for the Clinton Giustra Enterprise Partnership told Business Insider they are "working on a formal statement" in response to a request for comment on Thursday. Clinton Giustra Enterprise Partnership is an initiative of the Clinton Foundation that was cofounded by Clinton and Giustra in 2007. A Clinton Foundation spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment.

As long as Congress allows such lawless charities as the Clinton Foundation to exist there is little hope of any honesty in Government.

The democrats want to keep the BS about Trump Russia connection even though Comey and Clapper said there was none. If we are going to investigate Trump them they need to investigate Hillary and Bill Clinton,John Podesta,Tony Podesta, Clinton foundation. Need to look at the Clinton and Podesta emails and the server since they have a so-called Russian connection
