A Texas teen gave police a dramatic account of being abducted and gang raped by three black men earlier this month. On Tuesday, she told them it was all a hoax.
On March 8, Breana Talbott, 18, entered a church bloody and wearing only a shirt, bra and underwear. She looked badly beaten.
Police had been searching for her since Sam Hollingsworth, her fiancé, had called earlier that evening to report her missing, according to USA TODAY.
Talbott's car was found in an apartment building parking lot with the door open, and her phone and keys were recovered nearby.
The woman told police she had been kidnapped by three "black males" wearing ski masks, who she alleged took her to the woods and sexually assaulted her.
Authorities found clothing and other personal items belonging to Talbott in the woods.
From there, the story started to break down.
"There were things that just did not add up with what we were seeing," Denison Police Lt. Mike Eppler told USA TODAY.
"We've had false reports before, but none to this extent," he told Crimesider.
A medical examination did not uncover evidence of sexual assault, and the crime scene appeared to be staged.
Two weeks after the incident, Talbott confessed that she lied about the assault and that her injuries were self-inflicted.
"Breana Harmon Talbott's hoax was also insulting to our community and especially offensive to the African-American community due to her description of the so-called suspects in her hoax," Chief Jay Burch said in a statement.
All of these folks who falsely claim that they’ve been beaten/raped/whatever deserve punishment.
Shame on her, lock her up.

If this Sam Hollingsworth was smart (not saying he is, I don't know him ...) he'd dump this dipstick faster than a hot potato.
Whether or not she was living out some sort of sick sexual fantasy, "cheating on him" or whatever, clearly at 18 years old the batshit crazy is strong with her and he'd be smart to run as far away from this dipstick as fast as he possibly can.
A perfect poster child for the Left to discredit legitimate black on white charges. She should be imprisoned until she is too old to remember her crime.
Run, Sam! RUN!
Lock her up.
The shift in narrative on this case is striking. The typical narrative in hoax cases is that the hoaxer is motivated to make up the crime due to oppression of another group, often white males. In this case, the narrative has nothing to do with the motive of the accuser. No, the narrative in this case is how the accused identity group is insulted and offended by the false allegations.
Today’s narrative — how false accusations harm the falsely accused — seems closer to the mark, but I still find the dualing narratives in similar cases to be illuminating.
They should get the same punishmnt their alleged victims would have gotten.
This was not a hoax. It is a crime.
Whats the penalty for destroying someones life? 3 other peoples lives?
Now she can find out what it’s like to actually be raped by 3 prison dykes.
For his part, Talbotts ex-fiance says the had an argument before she disappeared but
says he has no idea why she would stage a rape. The fight was reportedly over whether
they would move after he joined the Army.

The ex-fiance best go on with his army hitch and let this woman find someone else.
There were no “3 other people’s lives” destroyed - no actual suspects or accused.
Its not like she wasnt trying and didnt mean to.
I dont play “deflection, poor me, its not my fault”. She can rot in the county lock up.
Yes, they all need medication. There, I said it.
She wanted him to stay home. Period. Hope they throw the book at her. Hope he finds someone more suitable to marry.
Exactly!
“They should get the same punishmnt their alleged victims would have gotten.”
Were there any “attackers” ever identified?
