Gotta agree about there not being many conservatives.
And you’re right. I don’t give a #### if a bad bill fails.
There shouldn’t be ANY federal healthcare bill.
We are ####ed for 21 trillion.
If we are to fall, sooner than later is better.
Let’s get it done with
YoU’ll be insulted as a fellow “purist” for your position by half the board.
The other half, like me, will agree with you 100 percent.
I dont give a #### if they’re not real conservatives, let the bill fail then.
If there is indeed NO WAY to have a truly conservative govt ever again then let the dice fall now rather than later
“Obamacare will collapse on its own
“The more likely scenario is that the moderates will keep funding and expanding it”
Correction, Taxpayers will keep funding it. They are getting sick of doing it. That situation will only get worst along with providers pulling out like they have been in droves.
I’ll bet you paid full retail for the last car you bought.
You hit it on the head.
The numbers are not there to repeal and replace.
You got 24 conservatives against this bill
and the rest of the GOP members are for it.
Conservatives can stop the bill, but don’t have anywhere close to
the strength to repeal and replace.
If this bill fails, moderate RINO’s win by default,
because Full Blown Obamacare will live on.
We wish. Obamacare will collapse and the Republicans will be blamed for not saving it. The GOP runs the whole show now. Anything that goes wrong will be hung on them.
Don’t pass this band-aid “solution.” Let it implode all on its own and then when it most certainly does you’ll be in a position to replace it with what actually needs to be done.
So, I gotta get this straight, here. From 2010 to 2016, House and Senate Republicans passed TOTAL REPEAL something like 50 times, right? Now, all of a sudden, there’s an issue? NOW, when we hold the House, Senate AND White House? AND we’re just going to sit back and allow this?
Sounds like a very powerful statement.
Unfortunately its horse feathers.
Trump has made great strides in uniting the party but from a completely fragmented starting point with many Never Trumpers that will never pull with him, RINOs that are philosophically opposed to conservatism, and lots of folks who are already bought and paid for. The continuum of getting folks on board is less to do with strength than with cunning & tenacity.
You are not looking at the situation from the right vantage point if the first skirmish decides the battle for you. This is the players getting to know each other, the House leader flaming out like the arrogant, opinionated, rigid, indoctrinated brat he is and Trump exposing him and his brethren to the joy of consequences. The House is getting its fingers burned, let's hope they appreciate the lessons.
Trump pushed a bill he wasn't in full agreement with in the expectation that if a beginning was made the process would allow the bill to be shaped. No one can fault him for not getting behind it even though it was not the bill he asked for. That was part of the plan, seize the high ground. Its going to be a very interesting time and I remain hopeful that the G'vt may be trimmed, power returned to the People & to the States. If those goals are to be reached, Trump is the catalyst that will make it happen.
I think the point is to get there not to get there in one giant step.
That is a pipe dream. We can all imagine a time when...
The point is we will still have the same group of lost souls in Congress and no matter how bad it gets they will not have a come to Jesus moment. They will just try and stay in power a little longer by ignoring the truths around them and kicking the can down the road.
Obummercare will collapse of its own weight in a couple of
years anyway. Just desserts.
I used to be able to pay my own doctor’s bill on my way out
the door myself. Now, they won’t even entertain the idea of
fooling with any additional bookkeeping to allow me to pay
cash. The cost has gone up, up, up, up anyway and my doctor
spends the whole visit staring at his computer screen and
typing for fear he’s gonna fail to ask or inform me of an
item on Obamacare agenda. :o(
So eager to screw every working class veteran. To ensure they get substandard care while they are at their neediest. His force on this tells me one thing, he is prepared to sacrifice VETERANS and leave the others on subsidies to get the best care. Why target Veterans trump? Why? Next up... Amnesty, because we’re gonna have to work something out on the dreamers.
When the going gets tough; they'll run and hide.
It sounds like Freedom caucus has President’s well-being in mind. Whereas Rinos are watching out for special interest insurers. imho.
if Donald becomes the fall guy, it’s OK with Rinos
**************
Totally agree. Ryan is working for special interests; Trump for the people.
I understand that. That’s why I said they are already calling it Trumpcare.
“Try that story 24/7 for a few months the country will believe that the Republicans actually want to kill people”.
They’ve done that for years.
ARE.NOT.NEEDED. 60 votes my tired A$$!
