BREAKING NEWS: After a marathon series of negotiations involving President Trump and his top aides Thursday, House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wis.) will call a vote on the proposal at Trumps behest, lawmakers said after a meeting on Thursday night. But lacking sufficient votes to pass it at this point, Republican leaders were still negotiating to see if they could convince enough conservatives to back the measure. Theyre going to bring it up, pass or fail, said Rep. Mike Simpson (R-Idaho).
This story is developing. It will be updated.

House leaders postponed a vote Thursday on their plan to overhaul the nations health-care system, casting doubt on whether President Trump and House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wis.) can deliver on one of the GOPs central promises to the voters who placed Republicans in power.

Now with Trump's ballsy insistence they proceed...I think he wins the vote on balls alone.
The House so-called- Freedom Caucus may have wanted to embarras the President, by making it look like he is a poor negotiator and that all his input and meetings fell flat. The HFC want to make it appear like they, and not the President, are the ones who hold the cards and have leverage.
They are not for freedom at all. Never were. They are for themselves while they wrap themselves in our flag under the label of the Tea Party movement. They are swamp creatures, who ultimately dont really want to repeal and replace failed Ocare.
I read this comment earlier today...
This probably means he brokered a deal between the Freedom Caucus (Tea-Party Republicans) and the Tuesday Caucus (RINOs).
Not helpful comments.
All but one member of HFC voted to keep Ryan as Speaker.
Watching Fox news now...White house is saying they’ll put other to a bvote..if it doesn’t pass, table it and move on to Tax reform! YES. And pay no attention to the long faced pundits saying (already) that this is somehow a loss for him. I see it as a win win. Ryan pushed this first. Trump gave him enough rope..and if it isn’t fully supported, then he makes the right call (IMO) in tabling it and moving on. And fast.
I see Trump playing chess here...
Let a vote go and fail miserably. Then, the political atmosphere improves for outright repeal.
I just heard Buck Sexton talking about this on his radio show. He reported that the President said if it doesn’t pass on this vote, he will move on and let Obamacare fail. Hardball! I wish I knew with who he’s playing hardball with.
I now think it will pass.
I haven't heard much about the former being the solution so I hope this Ryancare fails.
Let it burn.
President Trump is fed up with the bs from these people. He is saying put up or shut up. He wants them all on record of who is supporting Obamacare by voting no on the bill tomorrow. Meadows is out there still negotiating with himself because Bannon and Mulvaney said Trump is done negotiating.
Someone else’s comment.
He’s playing hardball with the Republican Congress.
All of them.
Forcing them to come to an agreement, instead of posturing and chewing up precious time.
There’s sh!t to do.
I sure hope it fails.
if true, one more night and day of phone calls, Trump’s playing hard ball i guess, sad. i already emailed Trump.
I think he is forcing Ryan’s hand.
Burn the mutha down!
“Will free market capitalism and conservatism be the solution to the health care issue we are facing in this country?”
Politically, there’s not a snowball’s chance in hell a free market healthcare system will prevail.
Perhaps even less chance than that.
The American people don’t want it. There’s only about 10% of the electorate that does.
They are typical purists who want everything and will end up settling for nothing.
