Forgive my ignorance and partial thread hijack, but I’m curious: is this just an old-fashioned reverse-McCarthyism going on? What’s the actual concern? So what if they did talk to the Russians?
I’ve spoken to some neighbors who immigrated here from the Ukraine, and the man of the house is a Russian by birth. He says that an American-Russian alliance is preferable to the alternatives as we’re the only superpowers actively trying to prevent the spread of radical Islam. Why is it bad? Weren’t we allies in the past?
