I haven’t been watching military ops in Syria, but the headline suggests Syria and the US are working together instead of being on opposite sides during the Obama/McCain years.

Sounds like a move in the right direction: ISIS will no longer will be armed and helped clandestinely by the United States.

Take that, you ^%$#@)! McLame!

We have supported the Syrian Kurds since Kobani. That began in late September 2014. It only happened because the public demanded Obama stop ISIS for over running Kobani. He finally relented and dropped some supplies and brought in air cover to destroy ISIS’s armor. Then the Survivors, mostly women killed ISIS. So we now have exceptional people we are fighting along side in our War on ISIS.

And they are great people on a personal level. I am very close to a few of them. It is a partnership of almost 3 years. I spent a great deal of time trying to transfer information about them and the conflict to US media and individuals on the web. Still feel very good about that. I think I have learned a lot about the complexities of the region and I think exposure in the US has helped their cause.

There have been times when I annoyed some here with my single focus posts. hee hee hee

Sorry for the rant. I really am happy that Syrian Kurds and our military are so effective together.

Some details here: Siege of Kobanî https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siege_of_Koban%C3%AE

There are also some videos of actual action available on the web and a movie that was produced on the Siege of Kobanî. It is an incredible story.

That event did change Syrian Kurds lives.
