I’ve been doing it that way for years. Get the video clips, browse them on the computer, and when you get to a lightning flash you hit pause. Back up a touch and put your mouse finger to work - - play, pause, play, pause and when you get the frame you want, scap it. I do one-minute clips and once I have the lightning shots scapped, I delete them. Camera is ready for the next time. :-)
Sweet! I found it awkward to do scaps with the microsoft system. Either Apple laptops are easier or I’ve had a reason to learn to do them, so got better at it. LOL!
