It was Barasso, and he specifically referred to the non-repeal of health care money going to illegals. This should be a no-brainer fix.
HOWEVER, none of us know what is possible as far as amendment/fixes to a reconciliation bill. I will give Ryan that.
I think Trump has erred to support the bill as it is, but with Trump you’re never sure what the “it” is. He has in mind the final product, we have in mind the monstrosity in front of us. That is, BTW, very much like a builder architect who sees the final shape from a block of mud.

A bill is only needed to enact socialized medicine in some form.
Only a simple repeal can restore the free market.
I've been very careful not to criticize Trump in any of these discussions. Heck -- I haven't even been all that critical of Ryan, either. I know this is a political process, and there will be plenty of bumps along the road.
Since I figured out a legitimate way around the Obamacare monstrosity for myself, my only real concern here is that I don't want the GOP to pass a pile of crap just for the sake of passing something. If they pass something that isn't perfect but saves most people money, then they should be OK. If they go through all of this idiocy to get a bill that doesn't reduce premiums one bit, then they may as well resign collectively.
