It is supposed to be REPEAL, not "repeal and replace". This sales pitch jive they are giving you that we can't just repeal Obamacare, but also have to replace it at the same time or millions of Americans will lose their coverage is B.S..
What really would happen with just a straight repeal of Obamacare is that millions of ILLEGALS will lose it.
I’d follow what Rush Limbaugh suggested today: Just rewrite the bill and include EVERYTHING TRUMP PROMISED to the people. Then, LET THE DEMOCRATS VOTE AGAINST IT.

When did REPEAL OBAMACARE become “repeal and REPLACE”? I’m SICK of hearing this “repeal and replace” CRAP! Sean Hannity is one of the worst, repeatedly parroting that nonsense on his radio show, and now, even Rush is saying that like it’s what the American people want! We DON’T!
The individual mandate is STILL IN PLACE in this new abomination legislation! STOP IT! Repeal it! DON’T REPLACE IT!
A few realities:
(1) There aren’t 60 votes in the Senate to repeal Obamacare
(2) Because of 1 you have to “amend” Obamacare through the reconciliation process
(3) not only are there not 60, there aren’t 50 votes in the Senate to pass a free market nirvana bill
(4) because of Medicaid and Medicare government is already over 50% of the healthcare system - that’s not going away unless you want complete eradication of the Republican Party
(5) the Ryan bill isn’t perfect, but it has to thread a needle between the Freedom Caucus and “moderates” in the Senate. This bill is likely as good as conservatives will get in generation
(6) it is a start. If Repubs can get to 60 Senate seats in 2018 then more radical changes can be contemplated
(7) w/o the debt savings from RyanCare there will be no tax cuts because they have to go through the same reconciliation process and the total can’t add to the deficit/debt
(8) if this bill goes down the Trump presidency will be in complete disarray - possible threatening Grouch, tax cuts, a border wall and many other things
at this point the Republicans simply need to ram through a simple repeal bill.
Which will FORCE them to come to the table when we get to the “replacement” bill.

If the Ryan Bill fails, we'll try something else. Maybe this was President Trump's plan all along. I don't think it would hurt him in the least, but it will be interesting to see how he handles this eventuality if it comes to pass.
What's the big deal? A different bill can be proffered, right? The American People are perfectly willing to be patient and let Congress do this right.

President Trump will end up signing an 0bamacare replacement bill, but it won't necessarily be this bill.
If the main points which conservatives and free market proponents wanted are not in this legislation, then they should be incorporated, or else we should get a better piece of legislation.
Again, the Legislature needs to get this right. All the President can do is sign (or not sign) what the legislature sends him. The patriot leaders in Congress (Senators Cruz, Paul, and analogous Representatives) need to come up with superior alternatives if this effort fails.

It’s not Obamacare II. If it passes and Trump signs it, it then becomes TrumpCare and would put Trump in the ludicrous position of promoting a renamed but still collapsing governmentcare system.
iF it passes watch Pence show up and take over the Senate and sort of nuke the filibuster just for this.
I want a straight repeal.
Follow that repeal immediately with a “replace” bill, but the repeal should be clean and the replacement separate. As for the replacement, it should be free market and designed to reduce the interference of government in our private medical decisions and our private medical insurance decisions. Reform malpractice, allow sales of medical insurance across state lines, and allow insurance companies to keep snowflakes on parental policies to age 26. Other than that, the replacement should not be a grand bargain with horse trading; it should only contain items that stand on their own.
No reconciliation process necessary. The Senate can go to full repeal without 60. The Ryan bill will be DOA in the Senate, and will go to conference, but the Freedom Caucus is going to get an amendment before the bill goes to conference. It will deal with introducing inter insurance company competition and pharmaceutical options.

Democrats tend to love sneaky lawyer tricks because their side is so good at them. The passage of Obamacare under the Senate rules governing “reconciliation” is the most prominent example of creatively applying the rules to get what they want.
But it turns out that there are some really smart and creative legal minds on the GOP side, and now that the GOP runs the Senate, the sauce for the Democrat goose also flavors the Republican gander, if that isn’t too disagreeable an abuse of metaphorical license. Ted Cruz is one such legal mind; in the words of legendary Harvard Law School Professor Alan Dershowitz, “…one of the best students I ever had.”
Dobbs or a guest said they are all posturing and we’ll not know until the house vote. Much easier for thid to die in the senate, but moot point if it doesn’t get there.
