1. Comey had never contacted the WH because they were the source of the investigation and needed no further notification
2. By not telling congress of the investigation and by passing by them no one has been held accountable for their actions.

Only by a seperate investigative unit can executive-DOJ -fbi unit be investigated. And to do so after the fact with the executive branch holding all the evidence against themselves the congress is held at bay unless charges are filed

I believe there is one hand behind all this, Russia, the FBI investigation of trump, the easy conclusion for Hillary, that is Bill Clinton. “Didn’t have a DNI”? If I recall correctly - and I do - Clapper was the DNI in July when the witch hunt began and until January 19, 2017. Comey said that the briefings are done quarterly, but Clapper was never briefed during that time - or did he lie when he testified that he was unaware...?

I still can’t believe that every member of the HPSCI bought the bullshit that the Bureau is conducting a counterintelligence operation without any surveillance - electronic or otherwise.

Furthermore, if the matter is so friggin’ “sensitive” what is the Bureau doing about the leaks of that sensitive information?
