I said no such thing, but nice deflection, or at least attmpt to do so..

What I said, because I remember the conversation, is that I see no reason in viewing Putin as an adversary until he provides a good reason to. That he is their duly elected President under his countries rules and he should receive that kind of respect. As Reagan said trust but verify. I certainly would rather have a working relationship with Russia than one that is antagonistic. That is quite different than saying I am all in for Putin.

I see nothing different than our relationship to China, who I see as a far bigger threat than Russia. Does not mean I think we can ignore Russia, but I see absolutely no benefit with having a bellicose attitude towards them. Especially when it comes to this trumped up charge of Russian involvement in our election. Offered without a shred of proof I might add, and if they did that their attempt was effective at all. We, the United States, have done far worse acts to affect the outcome of elections in foreign countries.

So now tell us where the fake news is, because I honestly do not see it.

Some people are true believers in the cult of Putin Is Satan And Russia is the USSR and Will Always Be Evil.

I ignore them unless they address, and even then...

They absolutely cannot be reasoned with, any more than any members of a cult.

Before the "revolution", the Libyan government used oil revenues to subsidize a whole range of social benefits for its citizens." [Gee, must have been a swell place. This is the same type of propaganda used to praise the Castro brothers.]

"The U.S. and Europe are now having a panic attack because Islamic extremists no longer control two key oil ports in Libya." [It's not even on the American radar for most Americans, so that's fake. I don't know anyone having a panic attack. You may.]

"And the notion that Washington cares at all about what "belongs" to the Libyan people is laughable." [Keep in mind this is KGB putin's propaganda organ talking about the present president of the United States, right? Do you accept their critique of POTUS?]

"The entire country belongs to the Libyan people." [This from the putinista press? They're constantly indifferent to their own people's short life span and to the idea of Russians or others owning their own fate under law. But you buy into this poppycock? putin doesn't respect the believe Poland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania belong to those people. Why now does his state controlled press care about Libyans owning their country?]

You believe what you want. This article is pure pro-putin MISO.
