Texas A&M University's first openly gay student body president is set to take office next month, marking a milestone for the largest public university in the state.
Bobby Brooks, an economics junior at the flagship campus in College Station, was elected by A&M students as the university's 74th student body president March 9. In an interview published Sunday in The Battalion, the student newspaper, Brooks said he "was fulfilling the dream I had been building since my freshman year," and added he wanted his victory to reflect his readiness to lead.

Heck, ALL Aggies are gay. No surprise here! That’s why they went to the SEC.
Hook ‘em!
“Hullabaloo, Caneck! Caneck!”
Now it has become "the love that won't shut the hell up".
Why do we have to hear he’s gay? Why do we have to hear every time somebody farts if it’s a gay fart or a straight fart? Why do we have to hear whether or not a person is GAY no matter what situation? I guess it’s part of the movement to yell from the mountain top so as not to forget they’re here and proud of it! Just damn and just shut up already!!
A lot of homos go to A&M do they?

Hook em!”
Even though I bleed burnt orange and white, I have,,,, had a lot of respect for the conservative nature of A&M! If any body had of gone this way I would have figured it would have been UT!
Since he’s so open about his sexuality, what’s his favorite position? Pitching or catching?
Since being a homo is such a great thing now, he’ll no doubt have told everyone all about it.
Don’t worry everyone, he will always put homosexuality first!
How long before Texas turns blue?
The key word in the headline would be, “Openly.”
“How long before Texas turns blue?”
It would have been 5 - 10 years tops without Trump.
With Trump? Too early to tell what the effect will be.
I briefly attended TAMU, and basically flunked out.
Went to UT Austin, and graduated with high honors.
True story.
DON’T dribble off those Bobby Brooks slacks!
Dictatorship of the left, soon to follow. When queers get power, the pinko-boot soon follows
That group hug they do before a game makes sense now.

Maybe you weren’t gay enough for TAMU! You know those subliminal “micro-aggressions” might have gotten to you and you never even knew. Glad things worked out.
Oldplayer
BTW, when you refer to the “40 Acres,” you don’t need to add “Austin” as an additional identifier. Simply say “UT,” and people should know automatically that it is in Austin. The other campuses like UTEP or UTSA, need the additional identifiers.
TELL us about it.
If he was ambidextrous, would we be hearing about this?
The “love” that won’t shut up, indeed.
It is funny in my case. I am your ordinary boring virtuous (at least I try to be) bachelor, but the other day I checked my name on Google, wondering if prospective employers were seeing the songs I wrote about rednecks and thinking me some bigot (actually I am very broad minded about it, asserting that rednecks come in many colors). I needn’t have worried! It’s all hidden by the entries for a certain tranny person who is a Canadian born actor.
I think the answer to the “love” that won’t shut up is going to be the faith that won’t shut up, once it screws up its courage and tries and finds out that, shock horror, it wins more and better than it loses! People — even properly morally outspoken Christians — are so afraid of the Cross. But they are short sighted. They only see the bleeding and don’t see the souls bought, let alone the resurrection that follows.
