Why is the gummit offering any assistance to HC? Get out of the insurance industry and let the market do its job.

The government says that, but they are liars. They are not offering everyone health care, but rather making everyone get Health Insurance.

Your health care is a moving target. Some people get exceptional health care, others get crap (VA, for example). I think it would be cheaper in the long run if the government got out of heath insurance racket, and just came up with a public health service corps of volunteers the poor could go to.

Imagine if they could break the medical associations’ guild limits on who can be a doctor, and offered to pay people who want to be a doctor’s education costs, with the stipulation they work five years for the health service corps.

And don’t get me started on tort reform!

I’m so tired of seeing those commercials by lawyers (pronounced “liars”) about suing for various medical devices.

Yeah, blood clot screens can cause damage in the long run, we get it. The doctors should have just let the clot go to your brain or lungs and straight out kill you!

They lawyers get rich, the people actually affected get very little, and the rest of us see our medical costs skyrocket.

Henry The Sixth, Part 2 Act 4, scene 2, 71–78: “The first thing we do, let’s kill all the lawyers!”
