Anybody who says he’s not a legitimate president does not understand how presidents are elected.
You can say you wish he didn’t win, you wish Hillary won, etc but you can’t say he’s an illegitimate president.
What I mean is that he was duly elected under our system of elections, chosen by the electoral college, made up of electors chosen by voters in each state.
People can say they don’t like the outcome, but where is the lack of legitimacy or legality in any of this?????
People who say this show their own ignorance.
Looks like the Progressives (nee Communists) have succeeded in having the ignorant reach critical mass ...
Quite right, but the electoral college and its function is a difficult and even unnecessary concept for a growing segment of young Americans who are not being taught to think critically. In this regard, PIF nails it.
The typical attitude of those who believe Trump is illegitimate:
"The only candidate I voted for was Clinton. It was her name in bold print for the office. The names of all those people who you say may or may not vote later for Clinton weren't even on the ballot. Sounds like a scam to me, doesn't my vote stand for anything?"
Exactly! In my previous post, I said that my kids know more about the Electoral College then apparently these young people do.
They lack the brain cells or the ability to act rationally.
They are universally ignorant of the bloodbaths of the Russian revolution, or the 1793-1794 French Reign of Terror...
Ironically, when the finishing touches were made on our Constitution, specifically the untouchable Bill of Rights.
