The year 2017 hasn't been forgiving to the broadcast networks. With a whopping 17 scripted launches since Jan. 1, nearly all new series are languishing with low ratings, even by today's modest standards. But that may not be entirely the new shows' fault: The root of midseason's problem, some say, is the middling fall that preceded it.
"In the past, midseason success was typically built on the foundation established in the fall," says Sam Armando, lead investment director at MediaVest-Spark, noting all but NBC (and sports-lifted Fox) are down this year. "Since only This Is Us popped in the fall, there just aren't any coattails to ride on."

They are too STU**D, to look back, at what was good during truly, Memerable TV and do series like those again
May lick. Perry Mason. Burns and Allen. Petticoat Junction. Jack Benny
Pretty much any show from the sixties or seventies show up on those two channels
Lethal Weapon is a good show, no pandering. But so many shows are so much fluff. Timeless actually requires a brain to enjoy it. Hopefully it will migrate to the SciFi channel instead of getting cancelled.
I can't find one honest cop on TV except for Bluebloods.
Not sure what you are implying, or if you are being sarcastic.
CW is just as bad as the rest of the networks when it comes to over representing homosexuals... have to wedge a gay character into every show, and make sure everyone knows they are gay, even if it makes absolutely no sense or reason... just propaganda.
My GF and I were watching the Battle of Alesia when Julius Caesar outmanuevered the Gauls. Youtube is more fascinating than lib crap on TV.
I’m glad for the reduced number of episodes, even if it means a long break. That would just be ten filler episodes that would weaken the narrative. Shows like Fargo and Better Call Saul that are 10-13 episodes are tight and streamlined.
The 1979 movie Time After Time with the same premise is excellent. I really recommend it.
We just watched the entire season of “The Finder” on Netflix. Great series...witty writing....likeable characters...believable plot lines.....nice musical soundtracks....was kinda bummed when the season finale came up. :-(
#7 The comments are not kind to one of the actors in the photo posted.

Even Kat Dennings’ breasts are not enough to make me watch the horrible writing of Two Broke Girls.
Read where the show is getting respectable ratings now. Liked the episode I saw. They have no plans to continue it past the 13 episodes already done which to me is a good thing.
RIP Bill Paxton.
The last time I watched something other than cable news, HGTV, the old movie channel, Netflix or a movie was several years ago. It was late at night, I was stranded in NYC after missing my flight. I watched Burn Notice in my hotel room. Pretty good.
As for the dinosaur networks, I honestly can’t recall the last time I watched one of those. Or why.
We watched “Once Upon a Time” as a family every Sunday night since it premiered a half dozen years ago. It It followed the pattern you suggested and my teen/tween girls (mercifully) lost interest in it. I can’t name a single broadcast tv program that anyone in our house watches even once a month now...
Sun Records is not avoiding the reality of discrimination that was present in the 50s.
I've been to the actual Sun Studio in Memphis twice, took the tour both times. My 28 YO son even enjoyed it.
I've been a big fan since I saw "Million Dollar Quartet", based on the jam session on 12/4/1956 with Elvis, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins.
Many of the CW shows are directed at the hip hop community
Agreed that most if the messages are not great
I don’t have Netflix but they have a lot of shows I’d like to watch. Will probably wait until the end of the year holidays to sign up.
I started watching, and yes, I like it, but apparently it is one of the lower rated new shows of this season, so dont get your hopes up.
