Trump Says He Found Out He Was Being ‘Wiretapped’ After Reading New York Times Article

Donald Trump alleged that Barack Obama wiretapped him after he read an article published by The New York Times in January.

That’s what the president said when Tucker Carlson asked him during an interview on Fox News Wednesday night what his reasons were for believing the Obama administration surveilled him during the presidential election.

“I’ve been reading about things,” Trump said. “I read in January a New York Times article. I think they used the exact term ‘wiretapping.’ I read other things. I watched your friend Bret Baier where he was talking about certain, very complex sets of things happening. I said, ‘Wait a minute, there is a lot of wiretapping happening.'”

Mark Levin has steadily pointed out that with the NYT stories, there are only two possible conclusions, either they were lying and completely made it up, or its true and Obama administration insiders are guilty of serious violations of federal national security laws and “police state tactics”, worse than Watergate.

Sean Spicer read a huge number of accounts one right after the other all referencing "sources" who told them about taps, surveillance etc. I was waiting for him to ask the reporter if he thinks all those people were lying about their sources 😂😂

So Trump is going to box in the media..the media reported as fact that Trump was Tap...

so Trump tweet the same report as back as ive been tap by Obama

So the end game is..the media either admit in true.. or admit the media lied in all its reports

That the thing .. Trump is wiling to spent the political Capital that most politicians will not... Trump.is getting heat for the tweet..but thet leaks stop.. the storys stopped

And in the end in the media..not Trump that has to put up or shut up and admit to being fake news...

Again.. it the NYT ..The paper of record that has to admit Trump was tapped...or the Times falls on the sword for Obama and admits to printing FRONT PAGE FAKE NEWS about Trump..

First, because it highlights the duplicity of the NYT, and second, because it mocks Obama's frequent claims that the first he heard of his many scandals, was from the "media".

I suspect Trump has a lot more than that.

The NYT article was Jan 20'th... his angry tweet was over a month later, the same weekend he had Sessions and others at Mar a Lago for a National Security briefing.

I suspect some who were there for the meeting gave him some information... stuff that he's not quite ready yet to reveal because doing so may tip people off or spoil impending actions against certain people.

I think there's much more that's going to surface in this story.

If the wiretapping/surveillence stories were completely fabricated, then it sure seems like election tampering to the average person on the street.

Whatever will they say now? Will the press burn the Zero admin sources to try to stop their Titanic going down? Will the Zero admin sources burn the press to try to stay out of jail? And what shall we do with them all? Decisions, decisions.

Notice how the leaks have stopped after Trump made this accusation.

It was brilliant when you realize that the national security agencies are now in >lock down< because the stoplight is shinning on them.

The problem with this timeline is that Trump claimed he had “just found out” about the wiretap six weeks after the NYT article. I assumed he had new information.
