WE DIDN’T VOTE FOR A “FIX”
WE VOTED FOR REPEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It better.
One element of the House bill that Trump and his team appeared unwilling to overhaul are the age and income-based tax credits in the House proposal designed to replace federal insurance subsidies in the Affordable Care Act...
I HATE that Earned Income Tax Credit ####.
Some ILLEGALS got tens of thousands last year!!!!! For all the years they worked illegally and for all their kids!!!
The five years i was on SSDI, an accountant told me i I filled out a return (which i didn’t have to) i would get 200 back.
Back from what?!!??! I wasn’t working!!!
“A third tweak Trump and his team seemed at least open to, attendees said, was raising the cap on how much money people can put into tax-exempt savings accounts for health-care costs, going further than the House GOP proposal.”
This should be a no-brainer. It’s the easiest thing to do and fattens people’s paychecks immediately.
I’d also like to remind those who will freak out in the press about lowered AGI that we had this before Obamacare.
I am very worried about Trump on this RyanCare crap. He seems to be for it. I hope he doesn’t go along with it. Ig he does, he can kiss that coalition the voted him in goodbye.
Here is the current structure under ObamaCARE
Here is the new defined structure under RinoCARE
If a GOP and `rat unholy alliance pass it without publishing it in full and without an opportunity for public comment and debate, then it’s no different than the way the `rats rammed it down America’s throat.
(Ahem, althoug public comment at town hall meetings in 2009 on Obamacare was vociferously negative.
If the mandates and penalties, and job-killing “30 hours or more and you pay, comrade” portions remain, it’s dead in the water for conservatives. We want it repealed, not resuscitated.
It would be hard for it to drift farther Left.
I still haven’t decided whether or not I support the Ryan plan. I assume as it works its way through the process, and with President Trump pushing it, there will be changes, either before it leaves the House or when it gets to the Senate, probably both. Who knows how the CBO analysis will affect it?
As for tax credits, I don’t see how tax avoidance is a bad thing, nor do I think they should be considered entitlements.
Phase 2, which doesn’t require legislative active will allow the Secy of HHS to make changes in existing regulations. I assume they would be relaxed or eliminated, which would lower the costs of health care, would they not?
I presume the best time to execute phase 3 would be just before the 2018 congressional elections. Sounds like they want a stand-alone bill to allow health insurance to be bought across state borders, and are prepared to call to task all of the US Senators up for reelection. Getting a bill passed in the environment sounds like a reasonable gamble to me.
So, so far, I’m not too upset about it. I’ve read so many criticisms, but I don’t recall being convinced that that this thing, which will eventually be called Trumpcare, would not be a significant improvement to the status quo.
This makes me sick. Is Trump that taken in by the likes of Ryan and Pence—when we know he has, for example, been meeting with Cruz on it—to actually believe that they can’t pass full repeal and whatever replace they want in reconciliation? Or, is he joining in with their big lie knowingly?
