Then you cobra.
Sorry, that’s another example of an absolutist opinionated position that will not work in negotiations.
People need to get informed before forming absolutist positions like that; https://www.whitehouse.gov/repeal-and-replace
All the “negotiating” republicans and some others are mentioning is all centered on what type of bread to make this crap sandwich out of, or who is responsible for “polishing” various areas of a turd, all so they can hand us the “clean” end of a piece of poop with glee in their eyes.
Another example of a useless absolutist opinion.

I hope President Trump discovers that the establishment is taking him down the wrong path on this. Jeb! would support this “repeal”.
Some things are absolute. A crap sandwich is still a crap sandwich. A polished turd may be a “beautiful thing”, but it’s still a turd. Personally, I prefer to flush turds. Also, arguing about the word “repeal” meaning different things to different people is akin to Bill arguing the meaning of “is”.
“Sorry, thats another example of an absolutist opinionated position that will not work in negotiations.”
I disagree. Perhaps Obamacare hasn’t affected your family like mine (have your health insurance premiums gone up 388% in 4 years?) but I want to hold Congress’ feet to the fire and for them to DO WHAT THEY PROMISED FOR YEARS - FULL REPEAL OF OBAMACARE. The last thing we need is to put lipstick on this pig and call it “fixed.”
It WILL WORK just fine in negotiations if enough people demand that their elected representatives simply keep their word. Just watch and see.
I absolutely hope we can trust the ‘pubs’ to do what they say.
Total nonsense. If you take three months to get another job you’ll be insured under your employer’s group policy on the new job. The 30% penalty applies to individuals purchasing their own insurance.
And if you don’t think you’ll find a job again, you can purchase insurance in the individual market if you have the money to do so, priced at your age, and with access to the tax refund as well.
Plus, if you have no funds, are totally down on your luck, you should have access to Medicaid, which, if the states figure this our, will subsidize the premium on your own individual policy to get (or keep) you insured, rather than start paying your medical bills for you.
No I do not. So why is Trump pushing hard for this POS bill? Here is my thinking.
President Trump is using Ryan as a stooge and is actually going for a stalemate.
Ryan and Trump get all three phases of ObamaCare 2.0 together and votes are taken. Reconciliation votes are taken and in the end - it doesn’t pass.
The Dems and renegade Repubs can’t get it passed and we are stuck with ObamaCare.
But the good news for all is that ObamaCare gets gutted. Funding has been removed and enforcement has been removed and this 20,000 plus page POS Bill is DOA. It is effectivly "repealed".
Which is what we all wanted (including Trump) in the first place.
63 days without coverage and your new employers plan will add a 30% penalty to your premium.
I want Fedzilla out of the business.
OK, just this once, though. Me googling for you is NOT an entitlement.
Trump before the election to CBS:
"I am going to take care of everybody. I don't care if it costs me votes or not. Everybody's going to be taken care of much better than they're taken care of now."
and:
"...the government's gonna pay for it. But we're going to save so much money on the other side."
Or, post-election:
Were going to have insurance for everybody,...There was a philosophy in some circles that if you cant pay for it, you dont get it. Thats not going to happen with us. ...[people]...can expect to have great health care. It will be in a much simplified form. Much less expensive and much better.
Not to mention many references to protecting Medicare, Medicaid, SS, etc.
No question he is a big-hearted guy with good intentions. But it's always easy for DC to be generous with my money.
You’re saying this isn’t really what we are going to get, just a starting position. So, if they vote and pass a bill very close to this and Trump signs it, will you admit here that Trump sandbagged us?
You are ignoring the context on that, analyze it a bit deeper.
That’s what Trump said. HC is open for review and negotiations. And this is the frame for that process;
