At the heart of the case is James Rosen, chief Washington correspondent for Fox News, publishing information about North Korea that he received from a State Department employee.
In obtaining a subpoena to access Rosen's phone and computer records, the Justice Department labeled him "an aider, abettor and/or co-conspirator." It also described him as a flight risk.

Seven years with the threat of jail hanging over your head seems a lot worse than being excluded from an informal briefing with the press secretary on a Friday afternoon — especially when the content of that briefing would be available from pool reporters.

The media promoted and protected Obama... and openly threw in with Hillary during the 2016 election, including several who expressed that it was their “duty” as media to derail Trump’s candidacy. Their silence wrt Obama was tacit partisanship (and purely for the sake of partisanship, because it would otherwise have been extraordinarily newsworthy stuff), but their open and admitted hostility to Trump and their kid gloves treatment of Clinton was a bridge too far. For sure it too was partisan, but self-destructive at the same time. They were sure she would win and end up whitewashed in the final analysis. They are still not over the fact that they lost and have left themselves no room to walk back. Whatever credibility they may have had left is now burned to cinder.

The Rosen affair is only one act of hostility to the press. Obama’s NSA also spied on reporters. Conservative media forces must fear for their lives (and family’s lives) when an Obama or Clinton is in power.
