As an Academy Award-winning producer and a political conservative, Gerald Molen has worked in the entertainment business long enough to remember when being openly Republican in Hollywood was no big deal.
“In the ’90s, it was never really an issue that I had to hide. I was always forthright,” recalled the producer, whose credits include “Schindler’s List” and two “Jurassic Park” movies. “It used to be we could have a conversation with two opposing points of view and it would be amiable. At the end, we still walked away and had lunch together.”
Those days are largely gone, he said. “The acrimony — it’s there. It’s front and center.”
For the vast majority of conservatives who work in entertainment, going to set or the office each day has become a game of avoidance and secrecy. The political closet is now a necessity for many in an industry that is among the most liberal in the country.
Since the presidential election, some conservatives feel that their political beliefs are more of a career liability than ever — even for those traditional Republicans disenchanted by President Trump.
“I feel absolutely it has harmed me professionally,” said Andrew Klavan, the L.A.-based screenwriter and novelist, and a “reluctant” Trump supporter. His credits include the 1990 Michael Caine dark comedy “A Shock to the System” and the novel “True Crime,” which was made into a movie directed by Clint Eastwood.
Klavan said that producers have “called my agent asking, ‘Why would you represent this guy?’ Anything that lowers your odds is going to hurt.

Once Ronald Reagan left the Democrat Party and acting they were pretty much exposed for the liberal infestations within them. It is also revealed that pedophilia is rampant. A close relative who has spent working in a major Hollywood casting agency for over fifty years is very conservative. He lives right below the Hollywood sign in the canyon and he once told me the industry has become a tainted one. He would never elaborate but always kept his children and grandchildren away from it.

We really have done a lot. D’Souza an exception cuz he had 2 movies tied to elections & he admitted to us that he didn’t know what would have happened otherwise.
We have a radical idea starting next week. We’ll see if it works.
As though another reason is needed to boycott Hollywood.
I’m sure most of these self-centered, narcissistic Hollywood libs have “Backpfeifengesicht” — that is, a face in need of a good punch. So let’s do that, metaphorically speaking, by boycotting them. Hopefully, all the movie theatre and Netflix workers and conservative actors will find other jobs, while the Hollyweird elite end up panhandling on the street.

I rather believe the teachings of that long lone of radicals are the very foundation of the group-think progressives. The foundation of America is INDIVIDUAL responsibility and they all preached the subservience of the citizens to the state. Hence the attempted overthrow of our republic by the progressives who believe in mob rule as that is the way they achieved success in their countries. Marx, of course, died in England but his influence is undeniable on Germany and the rest of Europe.
What would have been a big surprise to Marx was that the first revolution occurred in Russia. He would have thought Germany or England would be the first.

The real reason I moved from Los Angeles to Chicago is because half the shows on TV they don’t even shoot in LA anymore. So now you have all those actors going for half the roles. I was still getting a lot of auditions, but I’d go to an audition and see more and more name actors going in the smaller roles. I saw the writing on the wall. So I moved. Chicago has 8 Network TV shows they’re filming right now. Two more pilots and several big budget movies.
Been boycotting LIEberal stuff for years — movies are among the items I no longer purchase FRom LIEberals.
