Leviticus NIV
18:22 Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable.
20:13 If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.
The Hebrews were obviously on to something? Not only for health reasons but for the furtherance of the holy state of marriage.
I don’t know where I first read or heard this: “Marriage is for the joining of one man and one woman for the purpose of procreation and the protection of children.”
Who could argue with that?
