All these Christian charities bringing in refugees have turned into major leftist lobbyists for Islamist refugees in order to keep their gravy train growing. Dubya’s intentions were good. I believe he reasoned that, with so much money flowing from the federal government, it would be good for some of it to go to religious organizations. Unfortunately, it has turned out to be bad for Republicans, the taxpayers, and the Churches themselves — to the degree those Churches want to remain spiritually pure.

That being said I have not read much about a linkage between Faith Based Initiatives and the money flowing to these leftwing church organizations handling the current inflow of aliens into the USA.

For the most part the Mainline Churches (PCUSA, ELCA, UMC, Episcopal, UCC, RCC) are controlled by leftists. And most of the Mainline Churches have major membership issues. With the exception of RCC, most of the mainliners have lost more than 50% of their membership.

Thus the Faith Based Initiatives has been a lifesaver for the leftist ministers and staff who have lost their jobs because of declining membership.

It would not have been so had the congregants reject the leftward drift, which some did by voting with their feet.
