The call for resignations applies to all Senate-confirmed U.S. Attorneys, including Preet Bharara, the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York.
That comes as a surprise, as Bharara reportedly met with Trump after the election and agreed to remain in his position during the Trump administration. Sessions also asked him to stay, the prosecutor told The New York Times.

Yeah, well, President Trump won. Deal with it.

I’ve got to believe he’s just caught up in the dragnet and will be reinstated shortly.
Too valuable.
What took so long???
“Ive got to believe hes just caught up in the dragnet and will be reinstated shortly.”
It’s routine. It happens in most transitions. If he is a good guy his resignation will not be accepted. This is just an attempt to make a routine move seem ominous.
Good move, but not good enough.
The US Attorney in Oregon who’s prosecuted the protestors in the Oregon Standoff and was behind the rigged process used to convict four defendants on some charges yesterday, well, he was not on the list.
Billy Williams is still the US Attorney in Oregon. Williams was not asked to resign yesterday.
clinton precedent. obama precedent.
Dunno....I don’t see any list. ‘Remaining Obama-era USDAs...’ seems pretty clear to me (unless the guy you’re talking about is a Clinton appointee.)
I would get rid of anyone in any position that’s not nailed down by being elected if they were appointed or hired by a dimocrat or a rino!
Get them out of there.
Damn the torpedoes! Full speed ahead!
HALLELUJAH!!!!!!
Did she complain when Clinton did it? But I forgot: Dishonesty in defense of liberalism is no vice.
THIS
Wonderful!
Now where do we start?
Pizzagate?
Benghazi?
Fast and furious?
Hillary’s emails?
Let the party begin!
Do you have a source for that?
A Clinton appointee, by the way.
If I were you, Di/fi, I'd keep a lower profile. The feds might start looking at the way you and hubby got rich quick using your elected office.
======================================================
M/M DiFi know a thing or two about using her Govt status and influence to steer business and profits their way, too (like the Clintons).
Perhaps there/s the prospect of empaneled FBI agents with Grand Jury subpoena power investigating things like how her husband/s investment group managed to obtain several Billion dollars taxpayer-funded govt contracts .....
INCONVENIENT FACTOIDS:
<><>Feinstein heads the Senate Intel Committee;
<><> Her hubby Richard Blum made million as the lawyer for Chinese interests and from tax-funded govt contracts;
<><> Did Di use her access to valuable US security data improperly?
<><> Hubby Richard Blum made millions in China deals in past years. How'd he do that?
<><> Is hubby cutting new deals w/ the Chi/Coms?

ITEM--Senators husband profits for 15 years from federal funds (Feinstein-Blum)
NY Post | 1/19/15 | Richard Johnson / FR Posted by Libloather
My report Sunday on the lucrative deal Sen. Dianne Feinsteins husband has to sell 56 post office buildings barely scratched the surface of her conflicts of interest. The California Democrats financier husband, Richard C. Blum, is estimated to be a billionaire from his shrewd investments in companies that profit from federal policies.
For at least 15 years, Feinstein has appeared to support government contracts that push federal funds toward companies co-owned or governed by her powerful, billionaire husband, Richard C. Blum, Breitbart News reported. (Excerpt) Read more at pagesix.com ...

ITEM--Sen Finestein's husband, Richard Blum, became a billionaire representing China's interests.

Sponsored by Sen Diane Feinstein, the Desert Wilderness Protection Act and its companion bill known as the California Desert Protection Act created three new national parks and seventy- four new wilderness areas in the desert of California that total 8 million acres (an area the size of Maryland).
This closes acreage to development, forces out private owners within the protected area and closes mines and ranches. It also expands the Death Valley and Joshua Tree national monuments and upgrades them to national parks.
It seems that the real motivation for passage of this bill lies with the special interest groups that would benefit monetarily. Through a complex series of land exchanges, Catellus Corporation (Owned by none other than Richard Blum DiFI Hubby), a subsidiary of Santa Fe Pacific, will receive land that contains some of the richest gold deposits in the world.

AND THEN THERE'S Di/Fi whining back in Sept 2014. Senate intel head Di/Fi was whining about the CIA looking through her computers and taking documents. Clearly, the CIA had plenty on her----even BEFORE the shocking Chi/Com missile scandal broke involving a Cali state Senator.
Drain the Swamp!
Too bad he can’t ask the 4 Dems on the Supreme Court to resign too.
Excellent. Long overdue.
I don’t usually post articles which have been posted in other titles, but Preet Bharara caught my eye. As others have posted, he seems to be willing to prosecute corrupt Democrats. (Yeah, I know) So we will have to see if his resignation is not accepted.
Here's why he might not have been on the list:
"Sessions' request applies to presidential appointees. But Williams wasn't appointed by President Barack Obama.
He served as acting U.S. attorney after Amanda Marshall resigned amid a sexual harassment investigation. Early last year, he was appointed to the post by Chief District Judge Michael W. Mosman.
Williams, a longtime federal prosecutor, said he expects to continue to continue in the position until the confirmation of a presidential appointee."
Evidently he was promoted because of an opening.
I believe that a new U.S. Attorney will be appointed. It remains to be seen if he will be kept on staff.
