My understanding is that the mandates (penalties), both for individuals and employers, are gone under this bill.

I'm not clear on other provisions of the bill, but that's what I've read so far regarding the penalties...

my reading indicates that the of the obamacare mandates remain in the law (plus a new one called the loopback penalty) the penalties (or tax according to roberts) appear to be cleverly zeroed.

meaning later they can simply be put back by filling in the amount. not very comforting at all.
