speaking only for myself me and my lonesome, I want Obamacare REPEALED, PERIOD!
......the fed govt has NO business trying to muscle into personal health care
and cannot do it well, not at all!
IF djt and congress determine that there is a need for an additional health care program (on top of all the ones we already pay for), then let the states do it, not feds!
I personally would support pretty much ONLY some sort of standby funding for genuine serious emergency situations ... and that money should be taken from say 99% of all the taxpayer=funded abortions (!) that are going on....the feds do NOT have ANY legitimate role in personal health care (outside of vets, which the feds are screwing up, and fed employees benefits, etc.). It took us 5 months to even get a correct Medicare bill, for goodness’ sakes! Let’s get the free market back into health care, it is not perfect but it is 1000 percent better than letting some faceless WashingtonDC bureaucrappy decide whether you get treated or buried

I remember something former TX Sen. Phil Grams' said after he led the charge against Hillarycare back in the 1990s:
"There is no problem that cannot be solved by the free market."
Or something to that effect - I don't have the exact quote.

This bill, like nearly all such bills, is only a starting point. It is the basic bill the President wants. It will be worked out and massaged in both houses of Congress. After the bill is finalized, it will be submitted to the President who will either sign it or veto it.

Best hint of news I’ve heard from Trump since he elegantly killed the Russian hack narrative on Saturday morning.

ya know, I am MORE than happy to see the ball moved in the right direction.
I really really am going to be unhappy if the purists (yes, I want full repeal, yes I want a fully free market capitalist society to be the final determination of the health care delivery system) who are angry at the way this bill is written, warts and all, keep this from happening.
Trump has said this’ll happen in stages. I trust this guy.
And the Demon Rats hate it.
Let’s win and MAGA.

President Trump became "President" Trump because citizen voters
rejected the watered down ideas of "establishment Republicans" like McConnell and Ryan.
Those citizens will now and in the future hold President Trump responsible for any further watering down of their demands to repeal and replace "Obamacare"--a concept which was and is a Progressive Trojan Horse hiding the Progressive attempt to take over significant portion of the U. S. economy.
Now is the time to remind the President that, if he wants to create jobs, opportunities, and freedom for America--Make America Great Again--then he must open up that Progressive Trojan Horse, show it for what it is, explain it to the American people, and put the pressure on Ryan and McConnell so that the Legislative Branch is not allowed to overpower, appropriate, and dilute the wishes of "the People" who elected him, not the "establishment," to carry out their wishes!
President Reagan would have done no less!

He seemed a lot more receptive than the word we had gotten from the House that this was the bill, take it or leave it, DeMint tells us. DeMint spoke with me Thursday afternoon in DC.I hope so.
Smarmy Ryan seems so sure that he has Trump's full support on this.
To: cornelis
Receptive?
He should be hollering (or in his case tweeting) at the top of his lungs ordering Mike Pence to get on the Senate floor and kick some ass, to line out McTurtle and the rest to oppose what is coming from the House.
Receptive, BS.......

The biggest problem is that almost everyone on the Republican side - including President Trump, bigly - has agreed to coverage of preexisting conditions.
Once you do that, you have taken a stand in favor of government healthcare which is eventually going to produce some form of Obamacare, or single payer.
