Illegal immigration across the southwest border plummeted in the weeks after President Trump took office, Homeland Security Secretary John F. Kelly announced Wednesday, calling the drop an early sign that Mr. Trump’s get-tough policies are working. In addition to a drop in the number of illegal immigrants nabbed while attempting to cross, Mr. Kelly said, they have seen a dramatic spike in the rates charged by smugglers paid to sneak people into the U.S.

I just visited the border ...
there are border patrol trucks EVERYWHERE. multiple check points going to and from the border areas where EVERY vehicle has to stop and be questioned.
It would be easier to visit communist North Korea than to cross the border in West Texas at the moment.
Illegal invasion...not “immigration”. Kick out all illegal alien invaders from anywhere. Seize their assets. Never allow them to return. Like we need more criminals here??? There are more than enough good people, productive people who want to come legally and become good, civil Americans.
The pukes on CNN say this is proof we don’t really need a wall. Of course, they don’t support his get tough policies in the first place.

Not surprised.....if we could just get the airports to stop playing CNN and make all the cable companies put it on ala carte instead of forcing us to buy it through satellite or cable, that channel would cease to exist.

That’s precisely why they are not coming...The prospect of the wall and the deportation and catching and removing have slowed them down...

40% of the illegal aliens come here legally and overstay their visas. We need a wall, but it only solves part of the problem.

Just letting ICE and the Border Patrol do their job is a good start. Same with letting the military do their job in places like Syria. Illegals are on the run and ISIS is on the run.

I have visited the border in Texas, New Mexico and Arizona and I can confirm what you say. However I did it when Obama was in office. I think the difference is what I will call “the rules of engagement”. Trump is letting them do their job.
