Stop listening to these “news” reports. This bill is part 1 of 3. They have to work under budget reconciliation rules because changes only require 51 votes in the Senate. They simply don’t have 9 Democrats who will cross the isle.

These “news” reports are meant to divide the party.

We need to list the things that drive up the cost of medical care, some of which preceded the ACA.

1. Fear of lawsuits. Unnecessary things are done and new, experimental things are not done for fear of lawsuits. The new law does not go far enough. Guilty til proven innocent would still be the norm under the new law.

2. Data Entry Clerks. The ACA has turned doctors into data entry clerks who spend over 50% of their day doing busy-work demanded by Slavitt/CMS. That means less time to actually examine the patient and actually practice medicine. Tom Price could have made compliance voluntary for all ACA regulations of doctors and medical providers.

3. Centralization. Not just the ACA, but the IRS and FTC and the wa CMS/Medicaid/Medicare operate, all Federal government interference has the net effect of pushing the small hospital and small medical practice and small insurance company out of business and subsidizing the consolidation of doctors into hospital employees and hospitals into massive bureucracys.

4. Elimination of Charity. Historically medicine has been dominated by Catholic, Baptist, Presbyterian, Jewish, Seventh Day Adventist, Shriners and all kinds of charitable groups who have massive voluntary constituencies that voluntarily give to the charity of their choice. Government regulations treat charity as competition with government that should be stomped out.

5. ......
6. ....

There are many others that could be listed. New law and action by the regulators must address these.

GOPe-care:
If you like your suppository, you can keep your suppository.

We don’t want a rewritten Obamacare. Kill Obamacare and if a replacement is needed, then do it piecemeal and in short 3-4 page individual laws over the next year.

The whole thing went wrong decades ago, when it all became about how to afford costly insurance instead of actual healthcare. And since Medicare and Medicaid will bankrupt the Government in 10/years or less, it doesn’t really matter anyway.

Just kill Obamacare. The only reason we have it is because of that jerk Roberts! There was nothing wrong that couldn’t have been fixed easily by tort reform, drug price negotiations and fraud. This is all BS. Repeal and get the hell out of our business by passing sensible laws.

Kill the damn thing.
Nobody wanted it and we had it forced down our throats.
Just kill it. Drive a sharp stake through its heart and bury it in the garden.

Drudge headline:
MCCONNELL: TAX CUTS WILL HAVE TO WAIT...

Well well well. They have had years to work out the plan to cut taxes and get rid of obamacare.
Their plan is to increase taxes and keep obamacare.
