A bipartisan pair of Senators asked the FBI and the Department of Justice on Wednesday to provide evidence of President Trumps claims that his phones were bugged.
Congress must get to the bottom of President Trumps recent allegation that President Obama wiretapped President Trumps phones during the 2016 election, said the letter from Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI). the chairman and ranking member of the Senate Subcommittee on Crime and Terrorism.
We would take any abuse of wiretapping authorities for political purposes very seriously, the two wrote.
We would be equally alarmed to learn that a court found enough evidence of criminal activity or contact with a foreign power to legally authorize a wiretap of President Trump.
They said Trump urged Congress to examine whether the Obama administration abused its investigative powers by asking for the wiretaps, but noted its the DOJ that handles

When will someone ask the Dems about evidence for their Russian fairy tale.
Linda has gone rogue on McCain .
Hahaha
This is too narrow. Trump used the word "wiretap" in quotes, meaning surveillance in general.
For example, if the FBI sucked up the whole fiber into Trump tower on the basis of a FISA warrant naming the supposed Russian bank that was communicating with a server in Trump Tower, they would have all of Trump's phone calls and internet communications and the warrant didn't even name Trump.
Or if they received copies of Trump's communications from the Brits it wouldn't even cover it.
This is the Deep State telling Lindsey Graham how to disingenuously word the request so that it comes up empty and embarrasses Trump without revealing how they really got the surveillance data on Trump and his team.
Will they got all papers on this though?
“Trump urged Congress to examine whether the Obama administration abused its investigative powers by asking for the wiretaps”
Congress was rendered entirely toothless under the last Administration.....a Federal Grand Jury to investigate has a far better chance of success...
Why don’t they just ask McLame and Schumer about the surveillance. I would bet BOTH of them were in on it.
Weldon Shite-House is a putz - classic two faced slime loyal Dem.

yeah, assholes, that’s SO much more important than investigating the mole who stole the CIA’s 5,000 hacking jewels and released then into the wild ...
phone
internet
tv
thermostat
etc....
ASK FOR ANY ILLEGAL SURVEILANCE
dont limit it to the phone
THE FBI CANT FIND ITS ASS WITHOUT A ROADMAP....
so their opinion counts for diddly squat
BASIS COMEY’S PERFORMANCE ....let’s asy the FBI / DOJ did the act...
are they going toturn themselves in...????
LETS GET SERIOUS
Need also to look at the NSA and CIA, and if they used foreign intelligence assets.
And, after the FBI and DOJ say, they have nothing, this has all been a hoax, then every editor needs to go to his reporters and talking heads and say, give me your verifiable sources for your claims in my newspaper/show, and if you can’t do that, you’re fired. And then we can haul Hillary before Congress to answer why she tweeted on Oct 31 and what her source was. And we can haul metallica’s manager’s wife before Parliament and ask her what her source was for her Nov 7 story.
OTOH, if there were ‘snakes on the (Lynch) plane’, then we’re going to have so much fun it’s going to be like Disneyland in the 60s.
Separating the men from the boys.
Or in this case, separating the women from the girls
Right. Grahamnasty and Whitehouse are following claptrap Clapper's disingenuous lead.
What are the odds these spook outfits will actually turn ANYTHING over to them?
Ya think ? I bet Linda asked McCain’s permission . JMHO
I remember some C130 NY air national guard planes that circled Trump Tower around December Dec 12 in an “exercise” for a period of time. I wonder if this was part of the surveillance.
Be sure to check for warrants utilizing Guard planes.
