2-step process would begin with vote on bill that passed last year

Republican critics of the health-insurance bill unveiled by the party’s House leadership Monday night held a press conference in front of the Capitol Tuesday afternoon calling for a two-step process that begins with a simple bill to repeal Obamacare and saves debate over replacement for later.

Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., argued that Republicans are “united on repeal and divided on replacement.”

He will introduce an alternative plan in conjunction with a companion bill in the House sponsored by Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, to accomplish a “clean repeal” of President Obama’s signature Affordable Health Care Act.

Best vote of my life was June of 2014 replacing the weasel Eric Cantor with Dave Brat who is rejecting this attempt to rescue Obamacare by sleight of hand.
The establishment wants to save the structure of Obamacare that lets them have control.

I thought that and argued that yesterday, that that bill was a true repeal, but it's not.

All you have to do is offer up alternate verbage that the Senate Parliamentarian will approve as qualifying for a Reconciliation Bill.

You want to pass something more extreme and then imagine you can shame Democrats into giving you 60 votes? That is being done. It will fail.

So you’re getting all you want. What’s the problem?

Oh, you want to eliminate all filibusters? If you had your way in 2010, we would not have gotten Obamacare. We would have gotten a Canadian National Health Service. The filibuster is all that stopped that and downgraded it to Obamacare.

there is a plan it’s called free market capitalism , with intense competition to lower prices and improve quality .Reduce gov regulations (as in Obamacare) and lower taxes get government out of the business of healthcare.

Repeal should be done in multiple bills since so many iron rice bowls are being filled with federal gold.

A legal problem might pop up with respect to someone’s rice bowl.

We wouldn’t want repeal to fail over one little thing.

Repeal fines in one bill.

Repeal mandates in another.

Repeal subsidies in a third.

Repeal taxes in a fourth bill.

Repeal iron rice bowls with say fifty different bills.
