Where have you been? This has been a discussion for a week now. The Disney director/producer whoever was bragging about having the first openly gay Disney character.

From what I can tell, the male beast and the human girl are in love and a male human character has a crush on another male human character.

They wrote in some gay manservant who has a crush on the Beast.
Apparently said manservant gets it in the end (according to sources there is a “happy ending”).
Not the Beast. Gaston and his toadie sidekick, LeFou.
Were that this be only the worst thing about the depiction of the characters. Belle is totally transformed from the bookish intellectual she was originally, into some kind of Gloria Steinem feminist, and that may be a much more corrosive piece of propaganda.

Lefou is a sexually confused character who either wants to be like Gaston or has a gay crush on Gaston.
