You’re correct there has been a lot of road work in Biloxi from the Baseball Stadium to still doing road work from Katrina. I know a few crossings that only have signs.

But if he said he didn’t see the lights that makes me think the crosding he was at had lights.

***There are several street crossings in that area and there have multiple accidents***

Gulfport has had a few as well.

At first I thought it might be the crossing on Hopkins right before you get to Howard Ave. That crossing has a steep grade to it as well.

Because Boomtown Casino is located on Back Bay, it’s not on Hwy 90. If they had come off of I10 to I110 then they would have got off at the Bayview exit and avoided that area. But if they took the scenic route down 90 from Bay St Louis, they would have turned off of 90 on to Main Street. I’m assuming that’s what they did especially since they were from out of town. The scenic route is very pretty, your traveling right next to the gulf.

Yeah. Me too. BUT, there were signs posted at the tracks about the crest of the crossing and low clearance, bottoming out, etc. He must have not read those or ignored them. Probably simply did not even pay attention to the signs. You know how people are about signs and the millions of signs there are along the roadway. If you TRIED to read every road sign, you would be in a ditch. There was an old 1960’s song about signs, “Signs, signs, everywhere a sign . . .” Ever heard that? It probably fits here.

I agree the bus is very intact

The bus was very intact? It looks like the entire right side was opened up like a tin can? I wouldn't call that very intact! It could have been worse, but it was bad enough as is.

I have seen hundreds of vehicle crashes for being hit by a train it was very intact.

I have seen semi trucks hit by trains and the biggest piece to pick up was the engine of the truck and that was a mile or so down the track from the collision site.
