Why Dems will regret a probe into Russian election hacking
The New York Post ^ | March 6, 2017 | John Crudele

The investigation of Russian interference in the US election could turn into a big headache for the Democrats. The phrase “Be careful what you ask for” comes to mind.

For months before the presidential election, I explained why the Democrats were making a big mistake by picking Hillary Clinton as their candidate. And I correctly predicted that she would lose.

The Democrats didn’t listen, and now their party is in shambles. They aren’t going to listen to me now either about the unintended consequences of an investigation of the Russians, but I’m going to explain anyway.

One of the reasons I predicted Hillary would lose was that the Russians had hacked her e-mails — along with those of some other Democratic Party higher-ups.

A very reliable source told me that the Russians did it, through a proxy and — this is the important part — that the National Security Agency had hacked the Russians while the Russians were hacking Hillary.

So, everything the Russians have, the NSA also has. And, as I said back then, the NSA offered those hacked e-mails — including Hillary’s — to the FBI, which declined the offer.....

While the agenda as set forth during the campaign languishes

Even if nothing else comes out of this, that is a big victory for the Dems.

If the Russians had the 30,000 Hillary emails and didn’t release them, it’s obvious they weren’t for Trump...

If they wanted to help Trump, they would have dumped them via wiki...

Democrats are willing to tear the country apart to try and retain and build their power...

Nothing more nothing less...

Both dems and pubs have plenty of dirt to hide...

There’s a story out there today that “the Russians” are actively trying to extort prominent Dems and liberal organizations with threats to release dirt they have hacked.

Whether the dirt ends up on WikiLeaks or the Russians clean out their bank accounts, it’s a win.

No doubt, they’re working on changing that loss to a win. Ask Lance Armstrong how that works. Now I’m getting confused. Are we referring to “the Russians” or the Democrats?

I and I suspect millions of people now are sure that the Democratic party and the left have something so egregious to hide that they are literally willing to tear the nation apart and to completely destroy the trust in our institutions to protect whatever that information is. They fear Trump because, regardless of anything, he is a true patriot and knows, already, a lot about the swamp. They may fear that their dictatorship, so full of everything most people abhor will be revealed and perhaps would send many of them to prison for life. Is this possible? I am certain in my own heart that it is.

This needed repeating.

Here's one:

"To peer into the conservative media and blogosphere as it covers Russa's invasion of Crimea is to risk a fatal dose of schadenfreude.

"There are reports about how Sarah Palin totally called that Putin would invade Ukraine (she will be on Fox News tonight to remind us), about how Mitt Romney was unfairly mocked for calling Russia the greatest "geopolitical threat" to the United States,

"...about Hillary Clinton's "reset button" gaffe. Even the Liberal New Republic (tm) has admitted that Mitt Romney was right about the Russians and their ambitions."
