I’ve been out for awhile, but I would be surprised if Rangers are riding around in Strykers.

Yup, the 75th got 16 of them several years ago and uparmored them. There is a Ranger Battalion at Ft. Lewis that has quite a number of them.

If you are not aware of the events that faced the Rangers in Somalia in which their *battle taxis* and were essentialy unarmored HUMMVEEs, see the film Blackhawk Down for a fair approximation.

One good thing about the Rangers: they after-action analyze their operations thoroughly and work quite hard to not repeat expensive mistakes.
