Two separate sources with links to the counter-intelligence community have confirmed to Heat Street that the FBI sought, and was granted, a FISA court warrant in October, giving counter-intelligence permission to examine the activities of U.S. persons in Donald Trumps campaign with ties to Russia.
Contrary to earlier reporting in the New York Times, which cited FBI sources as saying that the agency did not believe that the private server in Donald Trumps Trump Tower which was connected to a Russian bank had any nefarious purpose, the FBIs counter-intelligence arm, sources say, re-drew an earlier FISA court request around possible financial and banking offenses related to the server. The first request, which, sources say, named Trump, was denied back in June, but the second was drawn more narrowly and was granted in October after evidence was presented of a server, possibly related to the Trump campaign, and its alleged links to two banks; SVB Bank and Russias Alfa Bank. While the Times story speaks of metadata, sources suggest that a FISA warrant was granted to look at the full content of emails and other related documents that may concern US persons.
The FBI agents who talked to the New York Times, and rubbished the ground-breaking stories of Slate ( Franklin Foer) and Mother Jones (David Corn) may not have known about the FISA warrant, sources say, because the counter-intelligence and criminal sides of the FBI often work independently of each other employing the principle of compartmentalization.
The FISA warrant was granted in connection with the investigation of suspected activity between the server and two banks, SVB Bank and Alfa Bank. However, it is thought in the intelligence community that the warrant covers any US person connected to this investigation, and thus covers Donald Trump...

Amazing what a little grateful humility can bring about. Russia needed the USSR and communism like it needed a hole in the head. Vastly preferable some form of Christian faith, even with all the quirks and crotchets of the Orthodox.
I don't have time to re-check. Got to go participate in a Twitter artillery barrage. :)
Amazing that the pen (the Tweet) can be more powerful than the sword.
So maybe fishing with spam add for guest to maybe his resorts around the world led to a FISA warrant?
And how Again did this get seen?
This is a website quoting unnamed sources from two other publications using unnamed sources.
This could be totally true, or complete BS, and at this point, no one knows.
But then the media will hate him more than they already do@|!
Trump probably assumed the lawless osama would try tricks like this and fed them disinformation.

Thank you. Mensch was mentioned in the Breitbart story supposed to have set TRUMP off. A side note was that she had a nice chronology of who’s on first, and who’s on second. :)
I have to add that the above report was “leaked”, as well. Nothing is real. Yay, GRASSLEY, however! One ball begins to roll. FINALLY.

The only grounds for investigating the bank was it is “Russian”?
Seems like a big multinational clientele with over $250 billion in deposits
Surely they were sending money to Trump at Trump Tower to make him not want to go to WW3 with Putin over Ukraine- because why would he or his advisors EVER support a policy like that unless he and his advisors were being paid by Russia to influence his foreign policy
and who would ever find out the Russian bank was sending him money at Trump Tower....
Now whatever happened to Churkin’s PIN number

Today someone posted this link on Breitbart:
It purports to show that the alleged Trump campaign communication with a Russian bank or banks was a false website, i.e., a defunct Trump website, that was activated by anti-Trump people to discredit him.
My thinking is that a whistle blower came on the scene and spilled the true story and then it got to Trump. I can’t see him going off half cocked on this. Reason dictates he has the solid goods on the FISA warrants and what they produced.
The weapons are very inaccurate, so you need to make up for it with volume of massed fire.
Every once in a while, a sharpshooter with a rifled barrel Tweet picks off an important enemy.
Be there, or be square. Are you on there?
Joe De Genova and Jay Sekulow,on with Hannity, are laying this at Comey’s feet. They’re not saying that Obama didn’t know, oh, he knew but that Comey did his best to interfere in the election. De Genova thinks he’s a mental case.
PS - I personally verified that the information from Godaddy is authentic.
Ding! Ding! Ding! A winner in the Watergate quiz!
Nixon’s associates broke into the Watergate to gather information about Democrat candidates that had associations with a certain professional group of Ladies of the Evening. They were also on the prowl for planned Democrat campaign information, as a secondary target. The Ledgers were the main target, to see if the Ladies were paid with campaign cash.
The server in this case was a marketing company server with Trump hotel contract
This was sending spam emails from domain the marketing company created. (It was not even a trump.server or domain)...
The so call suspicious traffic was alfa bank doing dns looksup on the spam
..im reading the server was not at Trump tower but in a Phili data center hosting site...
It sound like it just some VMware image/cloud Server spun up in data center for marking spam...and would be all open ip traffic easy to traceroute, sniff and dismiss in about two seconds
So the question is what were they looking at vs what they got the warrant on
At very least secret traffic is going to be encrypted and the Trump and Russian server talk via vpn or some tor / onion router
So did the claim for the warrant some dns queries from a Russian computer to a marketing server for Trump in a Philly Data Center was some nefarious traffic and then use it to go on a fishing expedition?
Matter of fact, this month is the 20th anniversary of my discovery of Jim's new Whitewater website. :)
