Congress is part of the problem. Ben Sasse was a HUGE never Trump guy. Now we those have McCain, McConnell and Ryan running the circus.

All of them need to be dragged into the street and hung from lamp posts.

I'm sure Ben Sasse gets down on his knees every night before he goes to bed, and asks God to make sure Donald Trump never posts a devastating Twitter message about him.

The GOP leadership has no interest in helping Trump, but they're alarmed because they can't control him, either. Look how quickly and effectively Trump made the Jeff Sessions story seem like it happened 25 years ago.

Safe bet... Congress won’t do anything except look for a agreed upon (both Dem/Rep) loophole to get all those involved through without too much damage; except maybe for POTUS and his administration. There may be a scapegoat too.
Congress is like a Broadway Play and scripts have been written behind closed doors. Don’t think for a minute that most of everything is done behind the curtain and then the main performance is all theater. Is it possible at certain times that both sides will agree behind the curtain on who can lie etc during the (testimony) play?
