This wasn't 'wiretapping'. They didn't need or want to tap phone lines.
The CONVERSATIONS they wanted to get were PERSON TO PERSON discussions in offices at TRUMP TOWER. The only way to do that is either plant bugs or have someone wearing a 'mic'.
It is my understanding that they planted bugs and there is VIDEO EVIDENCE of them doing it. I believe there is proof, and it just hasn't been used YET.
I could be wrong, as it is just as possible that the Russian Ambassador was 'wired', especially since he seems to be such good 'buddies' with the DEM LEADERSHIP.

I understand that but Trump apparently doesn’t. He said “wires tapped”. Perhaps he meant it as a general reference to electronic surveillance? That’s how I’ve been taking it. I wish he had been more precise.
