Over the past week the hysteria on the right and among some weak-kneed Trumpers has been over the top. Even Rush Limbaugh began to wiggle uncomfortably, fearing Trump did know what he was up against, and hadn't moved fast enough to deal with the "silent coup" against him.
Jeff Sessions' recusal supposedly showed that Trump, like all the rest of the Republicans, didn't know how to play hardball.
Ooops.
I can always tell when something big is about to happen at Team Trump when my contact messages aren't returned. And I'm always pleasantly surprised that Team Trump is one to a dozen steps ahead of anything I'm thinking.
Case in point: yesterday I drafted a memo urging Trump to go on offense against the Democrats, specifically the Congressional rats. And as usual, I'm thinking of building a bowling alley while Trump is envisioning a gleaming skyscraper.
Today Trump's offensive began. But only after cleverly baiting the hook, luring the enemy Cannae-style into an envelope from which there is no escape.
He didn't fight back against the guys in the ring. He went after their manager, their coach, and their funder-in-chief. Trump went after the head of the snake.
By Tweeting that Trump Tower and his personal residence were bugged---and apparently the evidence of such a wiretap approval exists---Trump again shows why he plays 3D chess and his enemies are playing Parcheesi. The Bible says it this way: "They will come at you one way and go away fleeing seven."
Other than the fact that this is OBAMA he is going after, the juciest part is that Sessions did NOT recuse himself from a wiretap investigation of Obama. Get it?
Trump just leapfrogged the whole Russia thing with an "It ends today." Now Team Trump has leverage to force a full and total standdown of all opposition to Trump inside Congress, all end to the disruptions, and meek and timid confirmation of all appointees. Or Zero goes to jail. That simple.
Many here will want blood. But I'm reminded of Sam Houston after he defeated Santa Anna at San Jacinto. Instead of hanging the dictator, he merely took all of the American Southwest. Santa Anna was out soon anyway, but we still have Phoenix, Denver, and (unfortunately) California. It will be a negotiation from strength, and the Dems will have no choice but to comply. They won't completely give up---there will be surreptitious acts with enough deniability---but this was a perfectly baited hook that all of Trump's enemies just walked into.
I prefer not to think along those lines. Yes, Obama was a terrible president. Likely the worst ever. But let that not be a reflection on black people in general. I have nothing against a black president but this was obviously an awful, awful choice to be the first one.
Same with a woman president. Would love to see that someday but let it be a good woman. Hillary was obviously another awful choice and I'm glad the American people had the good sense to reject her.
I'm so sick and tired of this identity politics that the Left has shoved down our throat. Why do all our presidents suddenly have to be the first of something? If Bruce Jenner wasn't a Republican, they'd be pushing him to be the "first transvestite" president even though he doesn't have a single qualification for the job.

I’ve been off the fake BC story for quite a while, I have a question, sorry if you’ve answered it already.
I was born in Brooklyn NY in the 1950s. I have an “original” BC which is a copy, made on some sort of antique copying system which reverses black and white, but with the seal of NYC on it. When I requested another copy from NYC in the early 2000s (I forget why I needed it), what I got was not a copy of the moldy old BC but a brand new form on nice new fancy paper, with all my info from the original rendered by a laser printer.
This must be common - I mean, when one requests an “analog” BC from a state, to get a “digital” one instead.
Is this possible in the case of the “fake” Hawaii BC?

TTF....I too am very worried about President Trump’s safety and that of his family.
I am today more worried about the safety and/or freedom of his three oldest kids. If they take out President Trump it would be Japan taking out Pearl Harbor. In other words, watch the F out.
However, if they crush the President’s spirit by taking out one of his older children, we lose our great leader. They won’t go after the younger ones. But I fear they will do something to imprison or destroy one of the other three.
No doubt Trump’s superb private security has provided him with some pretty neat stuff.
Obama has always wanted to destroy Trump because of the way Trump forced him to release his bogus long form birth certificate that supposedly didn't exist according to the MSM. This is personal for Obama.
I’m not sure I want his FULL agenda. Family leave is another burden on business & we cannot afford a Trillion for infrastructure. I hope the Republicans are prepared to stop him on those.
Generally speaking, if you want to blackmail - or to put it more gently, twist the arm - of your opposition, you don’t go public with the charge. If you’re going to go public, you better have proof & you’d better be ready to follow it up with logical consequences. I’m not a chess player or even a poker player so no doubt others know better than I. But I hope Trump has a plan for how this plays out. The Obama/Soros cabal is so embedded in our bureaucracies & media, it’s going to take something like an earthquake to shut them down & move them out.

I’m thinking that this is why President Trump kept Comey, and that perhaps, this is what Comey revealed during his recent briefing with House Intel Committee. I could be wrong...but...hey! you never know.

I believe 0 went way beyond the narrow OK that did get granted; in the tweet, President Trump said that his (Trump’s) phones were bugged.
I have always been at peace since Mr. Trump came down the escalator - knowing from day one that he would be our next and best president. .....
Rather, I had a feeling that since his blisteringly elegant speech in front of Congress, this was the beginning of the end...that this was the spearhead if you will, of the takedown of Obama, the alternate government, the liberal agenda and the rinos and rats!
I got that same feeling when he came down that escalator too. Supported him from that SECOND because of his honesty and his understanding of the actual truth. It was like I’d been looking through a filthy glass and Trump sprayed the windex and wiped it clean.
