Joe Scarborough and John Heilemann were leading an overheated charge against Jeff Sessions on todays Morning Joe, when a surprising note of caution came from an unexpected source: Kasie Hunt. Hunt is an MSNBC correspondent, not a commentator, nor someone suspected of harboring hidden conservative leanings.
Yet Hunt issued a blunt assessment on Dem dealings over Sessions. Observing that theres danger for Dems if they overplay their hand, Hunt said: I think one of the lessons we learned in the 2016 election is Americans are sick of foul outrage.

The article at the link has now been corrected to read “faux outrage.”
Yes. I am the author of the original article at Legal Insurrection. Finkelstein=governs
I made the change there, and have asked the FR moderator to change the headline here.
I should've kept Showtime's election night special on DVR, starring Colbert. The angst of the audience, to include Heilemann, was hilarious.
“Fake outrage” and “false outrage” and “faux outrage” are all accurate terms.
I like “manufactured angst.” More general and applies to privileged whiny-butts of all stripes.
Would be good if it could be put to good use.
Like, it would be enough to fill the holes in the Oraville spillways, both primary and emergency.
He can get the ball rolling on a lot of future prosecutions and make it look non-political.

It would be a HUGE mistake for the Repubs to prosecute Hillary and the Democrats. They were doing what they thought was a good job for the American people and the majority won't stand for a political witch hunt.
Hillary needs to continue in her political role as the first woman at the top for her run at the presidency in 2020.
Hussein Obama needs to continue to try and disrupt the illegitimate President Trump. More people voted for Hillary so she is obviously the legitimate President, not showman Donald Trump. If Hussein and Soros feel that violence is necessary to disrupt America, then the majority of American voters will suport that. /s
Completely agree. She has a great show and a very low tolerance for nonsense. It doesn't hurt that I find her to be a real beauty. She's aging very well.
Manufactured angst is a perfect term for the dem ladies in white during Trump’s congressional address.
Remember the Wellstone funeral? They always go too far in their insulated echo chamber. They just never see it. I wonder if Pres. Trump’s code name should be “Roadrunner” because their stuff keeps blowing up in their faces like Wylie Coyote.
Ideologues always, always, always overplay their hand. They know no other way.
