At this point, let's focus on keeping out new illegals. I think that will solve most of the immigration problems we face.
Argentinians are really nice people, at least the ones I've met. Overdoing the deportation thing is just going to cast the new reforms in a bad light.
Even Mr. Trump has said that he has a heart.
You say something?
So if I fail to file my taxes, it will be the government’s fault for being remiss in their duties and not sending someone to hold my hand to make sure I do it properly? That’s good to know. Good to know that out of compassion, they wouldn’t harass an otherwise law-abiding citizen just because they didn’t file their taxes properly.
It is not about having a heart. The issue is about American federal law. She is in America illegally. She overstayed her visa. The legal remedy is she should be deported. She is not an American citizen, nor is she a legal alien visitor or resident of America. Adios. Welcome to Argentina.
Huh? What ... "new illegals" as contrasted to "old illegals"? She is an illegal ... a "current" illegal as she has been granted neither citizenship nor anmesty.
Compassion at the macro level be damned: It's important to bear in mind that we are not a "nation of immigrants" ... we are a "nation of citizens" ... a critical distinction.
