March 1 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump will target a handful of Obama-era green regulations, including a federal coal mining ban and an initiative forcing states to cut carbon emissions, in an executive order as soon as next week a White House official told Reuters on Wednesday.
Trump and his fellow Republicans who control Congress are seeking to unravel former Democratic President Barack Obama's initiatives to combat global climate change, which they say are costly for U.S. business and have hampered drilling and mining without providing any clear benefits.

I don’t mind these types of leaks, if this was indeed one. These rollbacks are just awesome. Zero was a fanatic about punishing businesses in the energy business. I think it was his favorite policy scheme.
The more it ticks off Obama,the better it’s got to be for sensible folks.
It was his favorite policy scheme as it was the essential ingredient in his plan to "fundamentally transform America." What that phrase meant was turning America into a perpetual one-party dictatorship of the left. Political operators like Axelrod had the voting patterns in the United States on a map on down to the precinct level. A cursory look at the map shows that the bulk of Republican votes come from affluent suburbs while the bulk of democrat votes come from urban areas. In order to forever re-write that map, the affluent independent suburban Republicans have to be herded into the cities where they will be converted into reliable dependent democrats. The suburbs had to be destroyed.
In order to destroy the suburbs, you destroy what makes them possible. There are two things that make suburban living possible; abundant good-paying private sector jobs, and abundant cheap energy. If you look at EVERY policy advanced by the 0bama regime, it had as a goal or effect the elimination of the jobs or restriction of energy.
Yes, I know those also happen to be the stated goals of Agenda 21. But the reality is the "fundamental transformation of America" required the policies he pursued to get the political result he wanted.
Thank God for the revolution in hydraulic fracturing. And I mean that literally: Thank GOD. If we had not developed that technology at just that time, we would not have had the energy boom we did. That boom was a game-changer; despite all of 0bama's policies it was the "new thing" the administrative organs could not react to throttle quickly enough. Think of the economic disaster it would have been without the unleashing of all those resources. And all those independent Republican would have been herded into the cities.

It already is. In the forest products industry the orders for goods are running very high. They just have to shedd the huge amount of inventory of raw materials (LOGS) they have built up.

A coal spill from a train is a lot easier to handle than an oil spill from the same.
Some poor area used to have coal spills from small defects in the tracks and volunteers(the poor kids) cleaned up every lump.
My English wife, still tells me stories about how, during the 50's and 60's, as a child, she and her brothers and sisters would go down to the train switching yards and any nearby train tracks and would collect any coal that they could find scattered along the tracks. She said that they each carried a burlap potato sack (which could hold 20# of potatoes) and all nine of them would go home, after three or four hours of collecting, with full sacks for heating the house, heating water, and cooking.
I seem to recall that he’s already signed one or more EO’s that reversed Obummer’s.
