Conway is kneeling on the couch. Other pictures of the same moment show she has her shoes on.
This has, of course, inflamed the (mostly liberal end of the) Internet.
THE HORROR.
SHE IS DISRESPECTING THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT.
HOW COULD SHE.
And so on and so forth.
This tempest in a teapot is, in a word, dumb. In two words: incredibly dumb.

First of all, every party not in the White House likes to express shock and outrage at the way the other side is treating this hallowed job and office. Republicans were incensed when Bill Clinton and Barack Obama treated the Oval Office with slightly less formality than did Ronald Reagan, who, famously, always wore a suit coat in the Oval Office.
Obama puts his feet on the desk! Obama throws a football!
This is all par for the Internet outrage/partisan police.
It was dumb when Republicans leveled the charge of Obama and Clinton disrespecting the White House. It is equally dumb now.

Maybe one of the guys in the picture gave his phone to her to take a picture for him? Why else would she take a picture of this event? Do you really think she wanted this picture for herself?ML/NJ

I have no idea if she has explained , not that she should. But from the photo I saw it appears that her legs were probably in the View Finders of the Presses Cameras whom were trying to snap Photo’s, she moved them. The horror!
Photographers from Washington Post, Time, Associated Press and every other media outlet have been doing this since at least World War I.
I would like to see the official photo from that meeting. I’m wondering if she tucked her legs under to get out of the way of the “official” photo.
I wouldn’t be surprised if PRESIDENT TRUMP strongly suggests KELLY take a business etiquette refresher course.
Here is an article with the AP photograph from the event. Looks to be taken about the same time she was on the couch. But she is just out of the frame of the image.
I’m sure with the crowd of visitors, and the press on the other side of the room, it was something like “Excuse me, Ms. Conway - can you move your legs out of the photo?”
Wow! That pose is borderline Catherine Zeta-Jones.
Yes, slim & limber women can sit like that, especially at the beach.

No outrage here, but she looks tacky as hell. The woman needs to get a grip, realize her position, and act accordingly.

Truth is truth. We didn’t like Obama doing it either. The Oval Office should be respected. It’s not a living room. She’s a dumbass for doing it, and most likely has been talked to about it. And probably agrees.
Another one. She doesn’t need any course. She’s fine.
